White House: On Second Thought, Bin Laden Didn’t Use Wife as Human Shield…

(Mediaite) — It was a fitting end for the America’s most wanted man. As President Barack Obama’s Deputy National Security Adviser John Brennan told it, a cowardly Osama bin Laden used his own wife as a human shield in his final moments. Except that apparently wasn’t what happened at all.
Hours later, other administration officials were clarifying Brennan’s account. Turns out the woman that was killed on the compound wasn’t bin Laden’s wife. Bin Laden may have not even been using a human shield. And he might not have even been holding a gun.
The narrative first unfolded in a televised briefing at the White House.
“Thinking about that from a visual perspective, here is bin Laden, who has been calling for these attacks, living in this million dollar-plus compound, living in an area that is far removed from the front, hiding behind women who were put in front of him as a shield,” Brennan said. “I think it really just speaks to just how false his narrative has been over the years.”
Pressed on the issue, Brennan said that it was his understanding that the woman killed was bin Laden’s wife and that “she was positioned in a way that indicated that she was being used as a shield.”
It’s possible it may have been a mix-up of two separate incidents during the assault on the compound. As a senior administration official said at a Pentagon briefing Monday: “One woman, who was used as a human shield by one of the four military-age males on the compound, was killed; he was firing behind her. Two women, including one with Osama bin Laden, were wounded. And the rest were not injured at all.”

I’m curious. . . it almost sounds, at least in some of the versions, as if they’re trying to make Osama sound more heroic; “No, he didn’t hide behind a woman,” “He went out fighting, etc.”
Whether he was fighting or cowering, asleep or awake, it shouldn’t matter; they got him, that’s what matters.
The truth: He used his preffered Goat ( Male ) as a Shield, however, the Navy Seals have successfully saved the lives of the poor goat who was raped several years by osama.
Given Osama’s murderous nature, and the low status of women in the Islamic world, I’m inclined to believe the wife-as-shield story myself, whether Osama simply grabbed her as the nearest convenient thing, or whether the poor, brainwashed fool threw herself in front of her master, to save him.

What’s consistent with it, and brought out by the further interview that P&E does there, is how the Navy Seals went after the Somali pirates without Zero’s authorization, and he was furious with them, wanted to court martial those seals until the story started to break, then had to back off.
They cannot help it. Leftists are so busy constantly engaging in subversive anti-american activity it is their natural inclination to lie. So even when they don’t have to lie, like when they successfully order an attack against Bin Laden, they lie because it is their default behavior.

I’m still curious to hear what role General Patraeus played in this.
There is no mention of him in all of this, but both Patraeus and Panetta were both transferred to new posts immediately following the date of the announced killing of Bin Laden.
If Panetta did such a good job at organizing the Seal Team all by himself, then why move him away from a post he’s so effective in? And then why put Patraeus in that same job?
Everything is not adding up to the story that the White House is peddling.

we had a guy come into our shop, and he was ex-military but his daughter and son and wife were all still active military. and he made mention of how unsmoothly things were going between the military and the commander in chief , as well as how horribly ovimit was looked upon by the troops…..

I’m with you. After the beating Panetta took over CIA involvement in the water boarding incidents, I’m shocked that he was even consulted. CIA uses SOG’s as hired muscle but would never permit a bunch of suits to dictate any part of THEIR strike mission planning. Additionally, as good as SEAL’s are this has all the marks of DELTA and a RANGER operation and/or support as well.
