This president would prefer to take over every private business in the United States. He would prefer that we all become “employees” of the federal government. Total control over every aspect of our lives. It’s coming.

As a self-employed carpenter(25 yrs) with family members in SEIU, it’s deja vu all over again with this shit. They are always whining about how small their raises are, their F-n pension problems, the horror of even the prospect of losing their God-given right to collective bargaining. They are clueless about the pain and suffering of the middle-class private sector, especially the self-employed. Their smug attitude towards us is infuriating..,’well, maybe they should have gone to college like us, then they would have a government job.’ is what I inevitably get when trying to discuss government workers (such a contradiction in terms) vs private sector. They really do think they are ‘special’ and by serving us, we should be willing to make sacrifices to ensure that they remain well compensated for their often redundant positions. Inequity is not a word they apply to anyone’s situation except their own.
No doubt government jobs are an important and a vital part of our economic recovery, however the private sector needs to step up the hiring process. Surely they have lost money just like everyone else, but the got used to doing more with less employees. Now they are pocketing millions of dollars saved from operating with less employees.
Oh yes that Federal job you had at the National friggen Zoo is more important than a private sector job that via taxes pays your freekin salary.
Let me tell you something Karen, there were oil workers on rigs in the Gulf of Mexico that thought their jobs were secure until your hero Chairman Obama illegally shut the whole operation down. Go to friggen China, those zoos make money because all the animals you can see can be ordered on the lunch menu.

This guy is full of shit. The only vital services i use are all local: Police, Fireman, Ambulance and sanitation. The feds do nothing that the local, county and state folks can’t do. The only thing the feds are required to do is provide for defense, secure the borders (Only against non-leftists) and regulate interstate trade (Commerce clause has been extended beyond all comprehension).

Why on earth is the Government forcing a high-risk 7-month pregnant woman to labor? I thought National Labor Board had laws against such action.
And why would she and her husband build a house they cannot afford while she is pregnant for the first time in her middle-aged life?

So, in line with Harry Reid’s past comment that taxes are in fact voluntary, maybe everyone paying taxes should stop paying them, and then let’s just see how long the government employees remain on the payroll when there is no money coming in.
