The war did not lead to the founding of modern day Isreal. Israel’s modern day founding was greeted by the muzzies with a war. The fakestinians fled, thinking they would be coming back soon.

Dan Sorkin contributes this valuable piece of perspective on Islam’s hatreds. A short time ago, Arab speakers at the U.N. urged the Arab World to boycott everything that originates with the Jewish people.
In response, Meyer M. Treinkman, a pharmacist, offered to assist them :
“Any Arab who has Syphilis must not be cured by Salvarsan discovered by a Jew, Dr. Ehrlich. He should not even try to find out whether he has syphilis, because the Wasserman Test is the discovery by a Jew.
An Arab who has heart disease must not use Digitalis, a discovery by a Jew, Ludwig Traube.
If an Arab has diabetes, he must not use Insulin, the result of research by Minkowsky, a Jew.
Arabs with convulsions must put up with them because it was a Jew, Oscar Leibreich, who proposed the use of Chloral Hydrate.
Arabs must do likewise with their psychic ailments because Freud, father of psychoanalysis, was a Jew.
Should an Arab child get Diphtheria, he must refrain from the “Schick” reaction which was invented by the Jew, Bella Schick.
They should continue to die or remain crippled by Infantile Paralysis because the discoverer of the anti-polio vaccine is a Jew, Jonas Salk.
Arabs must refuse to use Streptomycin and continue to die of Tuberculosis because a Jew, Zalman Waxman, invented the wonder drug against this killing disease.
In short, good and loyal Arabs should properly and fittingly remain afflicted with Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Heart Disease, Headaches, Typhus, Diabetes, Mental Disorders, Polio, Convulsions and Tuberculosis and be proud to obey the Islamic boycott.”

Taliban use kids in combat roles
NATO troops wary of firing on children

By MATTHEW FISHER, Canwest News Service October 26, 2009

A 12-year-old boy caught in the act Friday as he put a homemade bomb under a road in the volatile Zhari District grabbed a baby as a human shield to protect himself from attack from the United States helicopter that spotted him.
The incident, in an area where U.S. forces operate under Canadian command, appears to be part of a Taliban strategy to use youngsters as lookouts or human shields, or to carry out attacks, because they know NATO rules of engagement make troops extremely reluctant to open fire in such situations.

There have been 29 incidents in which children have helped commit attacks or otherwise abetted the Taliban in Afghanistan’s four southern provinces since March, according to a document provided by the Canadian military. Eight of the incidents have taken place this month.

Among them were three blasts in Kandahar in the past few weeks in which as many as 12 Afghan children were blown up as they were being taught how to make or place improvised explosive devices – the greatest killer of coalition troops in Afghanistan.

“The Taliban are obviously manipulating children and using them as cannon fodder,” said Major Robert Dunn of Ottawa, who oversees operations in southern and western Kandahar.

“There is one place west of Kandahar City where they shoot at us every day through a shield of children. They actually stack them up, with 8-year-olds at the front and 15-year-olds at the back.”

Anyway, this reminds me of the boy scouts that you find in most countries. Giving kids a toy gun is not much different to letting them play video games where they kill Iraqis or other “third world” bad guys. I wouldn’t choose to do it, but when you’re occupied it seems pointless teaching a kid to make fire in the woods or fold a flag when their are more pressing matters.

Litmus test. Travel to Israel, the land of genocidal murderers according to you, with a bible and proclaim you are there to preach the word. Now do the same in Saudi Arabia, home of those peace loving, tolerant arabs. Which country do you think you will come back alive from?

  37. Joe says:
    May 15, 2011 at 10:11 pm

    1) If your litmus test is Saudi Arabia then I’m not sure we have a discussion here. I don’t feel the need to defend a Saudi regime, but I wonder why you feel the need to defend Israel. I believe many people say it is an apartheid state like South Africa. From a look at the legal system that discriminates against non-Jews it seems to be the case. I just found this one as I was looking around:
    http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CBoQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.adalah.org%2Fupfiles%2F2011%2FAdalah_The_Inequality_Report_March_2011.pdf&rct=j&q=the%20inequality%20report%20palestine&ei=-YbQTevfFYKDhQfT4MCQDQ&usg=AFQjCNFF6s4lcSrcLat4Qk9NvBeWlL4OiQ&cad=rja

    2) Saudi is not home to all Arabs, and it is ruled by a King who is to blame for intolerance, not the entire people.
    3) If you go with your bible to other countries in the Middle East you’ll be just fine. I’ve tried it. Go to Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Kuwait, and other places if you like. The hope is that there will soon be a revolt in Saudi. But what about Israel, can the Palestinians revolt and demand equal rights and the right to return to their home? Would that happen? At least there is the possibility for change in Saudi.
    4) You might be able to take your bible to Israel, but a Palestinian can’t even go to Israel or get a visa. Indeed, what a tolerant society! Or is your litmus test for tolerance only a measure of a society’s tolerance of the bible? That would seem a bit narrow.

Ps. It’s weird, from watching the different news, when I hear people call Arabs “genocidal murderers” or compare them to the nazis. I know “big-pete” didn’t do that, but I felt it was implied. I wonder though who kills more: Israelis killing Palestinians or all the Arabs put together killing Israelis?
The history books also show that the Israelis came from Europe and expelled the Palestinians from their land, not the other way around. Afterward they regretted that they kept some and did not expel them all entirely. That seems pretty genocidal.
Since you mentioned the bible, it also seems to me that Christians still hate Jews and don’t want them in their countries, so they will do anything in their power to make sure Jews have a place somewhere else. Seems like the Christian fundamentalists are the real problem.

Wow…I wonder what word game you played to decipher that I hate Jews? Did I say that? Did I even imply it? Unless you mean to say that criticizing Israel is criticizing Jews, then I don’t think you have an argument. Instead of dealing with what i said it was easier for you to throw out a baseless accusation. Nice one! I also don’t have a problem with Christians, if you must know, I am one myself (can I have the $1000?), but I don’t think that has any bearing on the points I made, which you could not respond to. F- for your argumentation skills!

Joe, unless you’re a fan of the Nazis and meant comparing the IDF to the SS as a complement, yes, one could reasonably assume from your above statement that you have a strong enmity for the Jews.

  44. Joe says:
    May 16, 2011 at 11:20 am

Making a comment about Israeli soldiers should not and cannot translate to a statement about all Jews. All that you can say from my comparison of the image of Israeli soldiers to Nazi soldiers is that I have an enmity toward Israeli soldiers. I will gladly and proudly claim this one as I think occupation forces are not anything to be proud of.

On the other hand, there have been comments on this page directed towards Arabs and Muslims in general. You made one yourself about intolerant Arabs. Should I therefore infer that you have a strong enmity for Arabs? If so, I would have to ask how different that is from hating Jews and why either should be tolerated?

  45. big-pete says:
    May 16, 2011 at 5:00 pm

Joe says: May 16, 2011 at 11:20 am – Making a comment about Israeli soldiers should not and cannot translate to a statement about all Jews.

Well, you asserted that nothing you wrote could remotely lead to a conclusion that you had a beef with the Jews. That, obviously, was not true. Comparing the Jewish nation’s military to Nazis implies they are brutal as the Nazis who were guilty of some of worst atrocities known to modern times. To claim such displays a malevolence that one might assume a greater enmity at work.

You made one yourself about intolerant Arabs. Should I therefore infer that you have a strong enmity for Arabs? If so, I would have to ask how different that is from hating Jews and why either should be tolerated?

No, I simply asked you which society might you might be beaten to a pulp to if you were to openly preach the bible to its inhabitants? The intolerant, Nazi-like, Israelis or the cuddly Saudi’s? Your answer to determine if you had a shred of intellectual honesty in your body.

Or is your litmus test for tolerance only a measure of a society’s tolerance of the bible? That would seem a bit narrow.

No, it isn’t. It’s the one the muslim proponents use almost exclusively to disparage anyone raising hard questions about islam and muslims. And the bible is just an example. Pick any other non-islamic faith you care to. The results will be the same.

Should I therefore infer that you have a strong enmity for Arabs? If so, I would have to ask how different that is from hating Jews and why either should be tolerated?

Yes, you can infer that even though I did not compare them to Nazis. I have enmity towards any group that, at the core of their self-proclaimed identity, is a belief that all others must be subjugated to their will and rule.

  46. Joe says:
    May 16, 2011 at 6:35 pm

My comparison to the SS was simply to frame things along the lines of the comments on this page. People were comparing these kids to the Hitler youth. So I said that they are no comparison to the Israeli youth soldiers. The Nazi comparison was not mine. But if people here choose to draw the comparison then they might want to do it with the army that is conquering and occupying land, and with the one that has expelled 100s of thousands of people from their land. On the other hand, to compare the Palestinians to Nazis is like blaming the rape victim for the rape. I don’t think the Nazi comparison is so productive, but if people want to raise it then my original point was that we might want to flip things a bit. The Nazis, after all, were the advancing army, not the ones with sticks, stones and homemade rockets.

Your last comment is racist, you realize that I hope. You have classified an entire people along some stereotype that you have in your head, and on the basis of that stereotype you have enmity to all those people of that group. Should people have enmity toward all Christians because of the hate-filled ideas of a bunch of Christian-zionists? I hope not.

  47. big-pete says:
    May 16, 2011 at 8:37 pm

Frankly I don’t see how animosity towards a totalitarian ideology and its adherents that has spread by the sword to (unfortunately) many races is somehow racist. If only there was a disparaging word for it like islamophobia or something. But that doesn’t quite have the cache of calling someone a racist, does it?

Anyway, now that I am a racist there doesn’t seem to be much point in continuing. For what it is worth I don’t spend much time thinking about buddhists, or shintos, or zoroastrians, or any of a hundred other beliefs that, as far as I’m aware, have no desire to subjugate me.
