CBS’ 60 Minutes Warns of “Sovereign Citizens” White Domestic Terrorists…
Give me a break, 99.999% of all terror plots on US soil involve Islamic terrorists.

According to Wikipedia, the “sovereign citizen movement” is a loose network of American litigants, commentators and financial scheme promoter who call themselves “sovereign citizens” and believe that they are answerable only to English common law and are not subject to any statutes or proceedings at the federal, state or municipal levels. Tonight they were the focus of an 60 Minutes exposé hosted by Byron Pitts.
Expect more media stories to follow in the coming days and weeks as “sovereign citizens” becomes a hot buzzword synonymous with angry and disenfranchised citizens who are portrayed in the following segment as open to violence towards politicians and policeman alike.

The Leftist Media is sinking to new lows, reporting on fringe white groups, hoping to create self-fulfilling prophecies.
The Left is just rocking back and forth with their fingers crossed, hoping this publicity spurs these guys into action so they have a new counterweight to hold against the tens of thousands of Muslim terror attacks.
I cant wait to see what the script of the next ‘Red Dawn’ remake looks like.

When the filthy hippies wanted to drop out it was socially aware and, like, sooo cool. I mean, like, dude….it’s the, you know, fat-cat corporations with their, like, fat-cat Republicans that are, you know, like, taking the money from, like, the workers and, like, you know, war is bad and we, like, don’t have the right to, like, make war on other people and the fat-cats are, like, making the war so they get rich on the backs of, like, the workers….
This is a very clever orchestrated collateral attack on the Tea Party movement.
The objective—which is, no doubt, clear to most here—is to subtly equate the tax rejection and rejection of an overbearing and over-intrusive government about which the Tea Party participants legitimately complain, with the fringe elements of this “sovereign citizen movement,” and whatever violence and racism can be tied to them.
The media did not do well trying to convince the populace at large that the mixed-race, peaceful protests of the Tea Party were in fact racist and violent. But if they can show racism and violence as common to a fringe element which shares some portion of the Tea Party rhetoric, it can bolster its earlier meritless accusations.
Should the Republicans nominate someone like Cain or West for president or vice-president, groundwork of this sort will be used to attack them as “dupes” of “violent racists,” thereby (hopefully) undercutting whatever credibility these black Americans have when opposing Obama.
In short, this feature should not be regarded simply as an absurd distraction from the genuine terror threat posed by Muslims in the US—though it is that too, of course. It is also, and more importantly, a foundation being laid to pre-emptively attack the legitimacy of any discussion of Tea Party concerns in the upcoming election season.
Divide and Rule, part 10 million and 54! This is a cowardly attack on the English who support the American Right. The old bogeyman, the treacherous Brit. We Limey’s support you 110%!

Besides the fact that this Father and Son were lawless, what I find disturbing is how 60 minutes made it a point to preface all of this with “Joe (the Son) was home schooled”. What does homeschooling kids have to do with what these people were involved with!?!?!

I never read anything from ‘wikipedia’ and never trust it; never click any link to wikipedia generated within search results. I know that I can’t be sure which of my non-wikipedia sources use but don’t cite wikipedia.

These people have been around for ages………and I’ve yet to hear of any violence from them.. The worst they do is file answers in court written in the archaic Common Law language. Oddly enough their win rate isn’t bad, some of those laws are still on the books….

Right on cue there was an article in our local paper about the firing of a cop who signed some sovereign type documents after he was invited to listen to some speaker — he says he thought he was just signing some pro-America thing, and later wrote up a statement renouncing the whole deal once it was brought to his attention problems with it, but it wasn’t enough for the chief who fired him anyway. That’s his story anyway.
The Chief shouldn’t have fired him. Even attorneys have trouble comprehending some of those documents…..
An attorney sent one to me years ago, asking if I would translate the Latin for him. Funny thing, most of it wasn’t in Latin, but auld (old) English….

I think they’re gearing up to attack any Tea Party candidate and/or any conservative candidate who actually looks like he might win.
(If we end up with Romney, or Pawlenty, they’ll drop it; they want these guys to run, because they won’t have much of a chance against Obama.)
