Not to be Outdone by Pelosi, Harry Reid Secures Partial ObamaCare Waiver for Entire State of Nevada…

Worst. Law. Ever.

(Las Vegas Sun) — Nevada got a partial waiver from the health care law — a significant development that Democrats are dismissing as par for the course and Republicans are claiming as a political victory.

The Health and Human Services Department announced late Friday that Nevada had secured a statewide waiver from certain implementation requirements of the Obama administration’s health care law, because forcing them through, the department found, “may lead to the destabilization of the individual market.”

The announcement makes Nevada one of only three states to have compliance requirements under the health care bill waived.

Nevada’s Insurance Division had appealed to the feds to reduce the federal requirement that health plans serving people who buy insurance on their own must spend at least 80 percent of the money they collect on medical expenses. Under the national rule, companies that don’t spend that percentage of revenue on medical costs have to cut policyholders rebate checks starting this year.

Nevada asked that requirement be reduced to 72 percent for one year, arguing that top insurance providers would be so strapped to make the payments that they’d exit the state market.

Health and Human Services didn’t fully buy that argument, but did agree to reduce the requirement to 75 percent for a year, expressing concern about what might happen to people with policies from insurers Golden Rule and Aetna if they didn’t. . . .

“It is becoming increasingly clear how flawed this law really is,” Nevada Sen. Dean Heller said in a statement Monday. “Not only did it cut a half trillion dollars from Medicare, impacting thousands of Nevada’s seniors, now the law would have driven health insurers out of our state if a reprieve had not been granted.

At this rate there will be no one without a waiver.

I am SOOOOOO glad that they graced us (forced down our throat) this law…

“Partial” waiver? For an entire state?

I think that is an understatement.

So tell me, if UbongoCare is so fucking good, why so many waivers for all the “Friends of Ubongo”? Seems to me that this is just another way for the 40% of us that have jobs to pay for 60% of those who are worthless fucking bums – and that includes all the worthless illegal aliens as well.

And tell me one more thing; if the 40% of us decide to quit working for you 60% worthless fucking bums – where are you going to get your UbongoCare and Ubongo bucks from? Don’t strain your brains thinking too hard, the answer is very simple.

You know, it takes a lot to shock me. It really does. But when I step back and think about how hard these turds pushed for this POS bill, only to gladly get waivers.
The libs will tell you that the waivers are only for a year. But they don’t bring up how a) that changes the original accounting, and b) how do we know when all of these big businesses will be ready to pay??

Of course, the end of this will be just like what happened to GM car dealers–all Democrat-controlled business (and states?) will get waivers. All Republican entities will get the shaft. And there will be weird reverse exemptions, where all Republicans working for Democrats will have to buy the insurance, but Democrats working for Republicans will have mini-waivers of their own.

    Clear now?

We may say we won’t pay the bill for ObamaCare, but Obama and congress are way ahead of us. 2 or 3 years from now a huge chunk of the US turns 62 or older and qualifies and needs social security to live on. The checks will simply not be paid, ie your funds will be impounded. If you have a tax refund coming, that will be withheld. Many Americans age 60+will be thrown onto the streets like animals. Even having lived a conservative life within their means, not flipping real estate and the like, the WWII baby boom generation lost half of what they carefully saved to pay their living expenses for the next 20-30 years. Now the soc. sec. they need more than ever will be impounded, along with additional income taxes built into ObamaCare. Even if forced to pay, I will never utilize services of a third world, filthy hell hole. No one is talking about this, and the GOP -now even including Allen West–has absolutely no interest in overturning ObamaCare. None. Billions have been spent and laws are cementing systems in place. In my opinion, all the Republicans have to go for their callous disregard.

So it’s SO awesome that Nevada wants nothing to do with it.
