Unreal: DHS Chief Napolitano Launches Investigation Into Border Patrol Agents For Profiling Muslims…
We can blame the Obama regime’s coddling of delicate Muslim sensibilities the next time a terrorist sneaks over the border because agents were terrified of being labelled “Islamophobes” by DHS officials.
(DFP) — The U.S. government has launched an investigation into allegations that federal agents at several U.S.-Canada border crossings in Michigan repeatedly harassed, jailed and body searched Muslims because of their background or appearance.
In a letter sent this week to a local Muslim group, Margo Schlanger, the head of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties in the Department of Homeland Security, said her office has received accounts of “repeated handcuffing, brandishing of weapons, prolonged detentions, invasive and humiliating body searches at the border, and inappropriate questioning that pertains to religion and religious practices.”
The complaints include incidents at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit and the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.
The investigation comes in response to complaints filed in March by the Council on American-Islamic Relations with the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security.
The council said it was concerned that agents were even asking people about their prayer schedules.

Since 99+% of all terrorist related incidents are Muslim-centric, I think better profiling of grandmas, babies, English speaking only people, and especially white middle aged men and women will definitely better protect this country.

Asking for someone’s papers at the border does not constitute harassment, but Muslims are likely using this “indignity” to create these victimization stories. Their victim status will eventually make them a privileged class. Eventually through these fabricated stories, they will then be subject to minimal to no scrutiny (out of agents’ fear of prosecution) when crossing the border, thus making it easy for any nuke-toting terrorist to get into the US and pave the way for the ultimate demise of the country.
Hmm, And when the British singled out the Irish during the IRA problems. Was that profiling?
When the Israelis look at young single muslim men with one way tickets. Is that profiling?
When we were looking for bin laden was that racial profiling?
You have to identify the threat and patterns and react accordingly..
I would hate to be robbed by a 22 year old white male only to watch the officers pull over 22 year old women to avoid the perception of “profiling”

I don’t know about anyone else but the fact that these border agents were doing this makes me feel safer. Isn’t that the whole purpose of their job, to scrutinize people attempting to cross the border and to make our country more secure/safe?
The sooner this administration is removed from power and the next administration undoes all this, the safer we will be.
I really hope the Republicans quote obama, Holder and Napolitano in their 2012 campaign advertisements, but looking at how wimpy McCain ran his campaign, I won’t hold my breath.

Hmmm, Maybe we should put the TSA and their machines on the border….
When will people that identify with destroying this nation and killing as many of us as possible understand that they must complain to Obama and his team of umpires? These pesky border agents are trained too well, much like the crew of that B-52 in Dr Strange Love that reaches a target. Together we can eliminate the inherit success in our system of defense and finally make things more even-handed for our friends of Islam to get a kill now and then.

*Profiling,* in the realm of border security, is not only a good thing, it is a NECESSARY thing. If the Border Patrol is scrutinizing these guys, its for some d@mn good reasons. There’s a LOT of money laundering in the area she’s talking about, and it ain’t just stopping in Canada– its headed directly to terrorist organizations in the ME and elsewhere. They’ve probably had a lot of good hauls and opportunities to develop intelligence to shut these terror supporters down or at least curtail some of the activities.
