Much of that has to do with their presumption of innocence standards prohibiting showing someone in handcuffs, which is pretty hard to disagree with.
If the police even decide they need some help fitting someone up, having them transferred in cuffs in front of the media is a pretty easy way to influence a jury pool via the media.

Social Security and Medicare are good examples of a Ponzi scheme. Had people not been robbed of their income for 50 years, would they even need financial assistance in their old age? But even those are not rights, and the Supreme Court has said on occasion. SS and Medicare are a privilege, not a right.
Some communities, you may have heard, have their Fire department charges as a separate expense. If the homeowner CHOOSES not to pay it, the Fire department is under no obligation to put his house out. Again, not a right.
The public school system you seem to be so proud of, is a money pit, AND is making our kids stupid! The system that was replaced in the early 1980′s was much more efficient because it let each state oversee it’s own budget. It was only federalized because the teachers union saw a golden opportunity to extort gobs of money out of US taxpayers.

Here’s an original: The goal of Socialism is to create a different existence for every different class of people, until everyone has the same amount of STUFF. Why? Because STUFF is what is the most important part of life.
Socialists do not believe that “all men are created equal” because no two people have the exact same amount of STUFF. It is STUFF, socialists believe, that gives value to all human life.
Socialism is basically a political ideology based MATERIAL ENVY.

Despite Bill Maher’s facade of faux intellect it is obvious that he has not actually read anything about Communism nor Socialism. Because if he had, he would know that Socialism by definition is the transition stage from Capitalism to Communism. The whole idea behind Socialism, the ultimate goal of it, is to finally get to the destination of Communism which is stated by Marx and Engels.
So Bill’s whole premise that Socialism is some harmless, toothless, warm fuzzy form of political structure is completely and blatantly false. The reason the United States of America was created was to protect the freedom of each and every citizen, to the best of it’s ability. To ensure our freedom, it created the American Republic as a mutual-defense pact. This is the only part of our republic that is ‘collective’.
Literally every mandate that socialists make is a determination of Good and Evil. Socialism imposes it’s own “moral imperative” on a society, but it denies religion any right to.

The rape isn’t the premise of the discussion. It’s a socialist in a $3000 a night hotel room somehow being confusing for people who don’t understand that being part of a socialist political party doesn’t mean you live in a commune.
