Texas GOP Gov. Rich Perry Gives Strongest Hint to Date He’s Considering Running For President…

I can only imagine GOP bigwigs, donors, etc. have seen the current field and are shitting bricks thinking none of these guys can beat Obama and are applying pressure on Perry to throw his hat in the ring.

(Ballot Box) — Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) said he will consider running for president in 2012.

Perry had previously taken himself out of contention for the Republican nomination but he has been walking back on that in recent days.

His comments on Friday were the strongest to date.

“I’m going to think about it” when the Texas legislature adjourns on Monday, Perry said, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Most consider the GOP primary field to be set, but several Republicans have expressed unhappiness with their choices, prompting speculation a dark horse candidate could enter the race.

Perry’s name has been one that’s come up, which he seemed to acknowledge in an interview Thursday.

I already have the compare and contrast pics ready:

Perry / West 2012 would be unbeatable (in my humble opinion).

And think of all the fun we could have with the compare / contrast pics!

I don’t know too much about Perry so far but I do know Obama can’t stand-so it would be great if Perry were the one to whip little Barry’s ass at the polls..didn’t the fEds refuse to extend Fed funds and support recently to Texas and their natural disaster damages…

Man,,,what a contrast!!!! Day and night,,,,black and white!!!!!

Obama is a pussy and takes credit for things he could never ever get close to doing.

Rick Perry is a Texas A&M graduate and a was a officer, pilot in the USAF.

He knows what Freedom is all about, versus a phoney political organizer who will sell our country out.
See the difference? Vote for Rick Perry if he runs!!!

Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid

Perry, if he were to run, seems like the best choice. The other candidates have all thrown their hat into the ring before and lost–these “chronic” candidates usually never win on future tries. Also, the other candidates have been thoroughly raked through the coals by the media/Comedy Central/SNL to be rendered moot (Palin: “Duh, I’m an idiot!”, Guiliani: “9/11, 9/11, and 9/11!”, Romney: “I’m a rich Mormon, which makes me a buffoon no one can identify with.”, Gingrich: no example needed, just look at the guy.)

Look at the 2010 census & then tell me he is trying to protect our borders.
Believe me, he’s no cowboy & he’s not a true blue conservative. He’s just another politician. ANYONE is better than Obama….. BUT there are others out there who can beat Obama & i’m not certain Perry can.

    Finally (assuming he is in the race) some one who actually has a chance to beat the One. Rick Perry’s record in Texas on job creation is outstanding. The only negatives that I know of are;

    1. People not wanting another Texan for POTUS
    2. The secession talk

The Bush’s supported RINO Kay Baily Hutchison against him in the 2010 GOP primary – so he definitely is not cut from the same cloth as they are.

    The secession talk….

Geez don’t make an old man like me get that excited about a real hopey change like that. Imagine abolishing welfare so the bums would leave, giving ourselves the power to kick the illegals out, pump our own damn oil, have a 0% business tax, no income tax, and allow locals to decide how to fund their own schools. Hell we wouldnt even have to use those pig tail light bulbs, and real toilets to replace the double flush water saver green toilets. Just a little wall building on the north, east and western borders, soldiers on the mexican border, and folks will be in line trying to get in. We have the death penalty and USE IT!

    NOT SAYING JUST SAYING!

    Email: May 19, 2011

    Governor Rick Perry,

I have never written a letter like this before…but I have never been more concerned and worried about the direction our county is heading in…We are truly at the crossroads of what could be the most vital turning point in our nation’s history…We are being led off a cliff by a madman that somehow became president of the greatest country on earth…A madman that no one knew anything about and still was elected to the most powerful position on the planet…only because he was always and still is protected by a bias and corrupt national media without a conscious…that only knows how to give him a pass and would never dare question who or what he really was…Now we know that this madman is a compete fraud and he is pushing our country into the abyss and to brink of no return…

I have followed your political career and I highly admire and respect you… I have seen the true qualities and the solid leadership you possess in all the great things that you have done for Texas…I know that the great state of Texas needs you…but this great country needs you more and needs you now…Our country has never been in a more dire and desperate position than it is now…Our county is slowly dying and is in a death roll of a crisis like never before…Obama is our nations greatest crisis…he is the cancer that is painfully destroying our country from within…If we do not stop Obama in 2012, our country will never be the same again…we will never recover from the fundamental changes and this nightmare that we all are being forced to live in…

I am only one voice right here and right now… but there are millions of others all around our great country that are pleading and are praying along with myself, for you to consider running for the presidency of the United States…There will never be another time like this…there has never been a more crucial time than now and there may never be another chance left for any of us if we do not stop the madness that is breaking the back of our country and bringing us to our knees…

The republican party is a mess just like everything else is in this country…We have no leaders…the party and the candidates are weak and in total disarray and will defeat itself against Obama…We need you Mr. Perry…our country desperately needs you…we need a true, strong conservative leader that has proven himself…we need a leader that can talk the talk and walk the walk and that has a great family behind him…we need someone that can lead us out of this nightmare and put us back on a path that helped make our country the greatest and strongest on earth…we need someone like you that can make our country stronger and better than ever before…or we will never be that great country again…

It is now or never…We must persevere…We must win…There is no option…

God Bless You and your family and God Bless America…

    Respectfully Submitted,

    K Reed
