British Media Doing The Job America’s MSM Won’t: Condemning Obama For Playing Golf on Memorial Day…
Pretty damn sad when we have to rely on the UK media to call out our wartime Commander-in-Chief for disrespecting America’s war dead.
Can you imagine David Cameron enjoying a round of golf on Remembrance Sunday? It would be inconceivable for the British Prime Minister to do so, and not just because of the usually dire weather at that time of the year. Above all, it would be viewed as an act of extremely bad taste on a day when the nation remembers and mourns her war dead. I can’t imagine the PM even considering it, and I’m sure his advisers would be horrified at the idea. And if the prime minister ever did play golf on such a sacrosanct day he would be given a massive drubbing by the British press, and it would never be repeated.
Contrast this with President Obama’s decision to play golf yesterday, Memorial Day, for the 70th time during his 28-month long presidency. For tens of millions of Americans, Memorial Day is a time for remembrance of the huge sacrifices made by servicemen and women on the battlefield. The president did pay his respects in the morning, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery, but later in the day traveled to Fort Belvoir to play golf. The story has not been reported so far in a single US newspaper, but was made public by veteran White House correspondent Keith Koffler on his blog.

As a regular everyday citizen, we don’t have this kind of protocol to deal with. So yeah, go ahead and hike your little leftist heart out, Rupaula. When you assume the big chair, however, you do have more protocol and responsibilities to deal with, and you need to conduct yourself accordingly. Sadly, we don’t have someone in office who understands that.
Obama’s best hope for re-election is the American MSM. But the power of these partisan A-holes can be curtailed if we keep talking up the other sources of media, including overseas, that paint a different and more real picture of Teh Won and his fellow travellers. Us commoners can relax and party it up on Memorial Day, but it is unpresidential for Obama to do so. As others have said, the media would have raised hell if Bush ever pulled a stunt like this.
The media can cover the day to day events for this handpicked fake prez, but they can’t change the historical record: this arrogant POS treated his duties like obligatory face time, then ran off to play golf. Again.
BTW, Rupaula, some presidents treated this duties like an honor, a privilege to represent the United States on this important day.

So what if he wacks a couple balls around instead of spending time in a church that preaches hate? To be honest, if he spent his whole time out on the golf course, our nation would be better off.

Although many Amercians enjoyed a day off, the JOB of the POTUS is to act PRESIDENTIAL on Memorial Day. A trip to the golf course on this day is an utter slap in the face of those who made the ultimate sacrifice throughout our history and to their families. No big surprise coming from this jackass.

If he had showed up at Arlington or made some effort to acknowledge our military’s sacrifices throughout the life of our nation, I wouldn’t begrudge him a quick 9 holes at the end of the day. But this socialist dung maggot has shown nothing but contempt for our country, our flag and our military, except for occasions upon which he thinks he can get some political traction out of showing up or claiming credit for their risks and sacrifices. I wish he would just turn golf pro, because he sure ain’t no president.
