RomneyCare Says His Odds of Beating Obama Are “Better Than 50-50″…

He’s in denial, the conservative base will be sitting this one out if Romney is the nominee.

(The Hill) — Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) sees his chances of beating President Obama as “better than 50-50.”

The Republican presidential candidate said Tuesday that his chances of beating Obama are “very good,” something he attributes to the economy.

“I probably do give myself better than 50-50 odds, but it’s up to the American people. And I’ll tell them what I believe, and if that works, great,” he said on NBC’s “Today” show.

“There’s no sure thing in politics, but this is a time when the American people are really concerned about the scale of government — they want to cut it back — and they’re concerned about the economy, long-term and short-term. And that’s in my wheelhouse,” he explained.

Zip, I fear you’re correct about Conservatives staying home if he’s the Republican nominee… but for the sake of the country, I would hope and pray that they’d come out and hold their nose and vote for him, because it’s so essential we get rid of Obama in 2012.

Ummm….even if true, we need better odds than that. Obama is worse than Carter and Reagan trounced him in a landslide. Oh, and Reagan was not the elite GOP favorite, either. Perhaps this is one time history should repeat itself—conservatism over “liberalism”.

He’s not my ideal choice, far from it, but I will vote in 2012 for whatever candidate the GOP puts up there. I’m not gonna do an idealistic write in or any of that, because Obama must be stopped. And even a moronic RINO like Romney is better than the current CiC.

If Romney is the GOP’s choice, he’s got my vote.

He’s not going to get the nomination. But, if he did I would not vote for him. If it means 4 more years of Obama then the fight will shift to another front.

IF the conservative base sits it out, then they can take credit for Obama’s second term. Voting is an obligation. Pouting is stupid.

    AS ABOVE ^^^

In shift, feds target top execs for health fraud (Title ”looks” innocent))
    BUT http://apnews.myway.com//article/20110531/D9NICAM00.html

WASHINGTON (AP) – It’s getting personal now. In a shift still evolving, federal enforcers are targeting individual executives in health care fraud cases that used to be aimed at impersonal corporations.

The new tactic is raising the anxiety level – and risks – for corporate honchos at drug companies, medical device manufacturers, nursing home chains and other major health care enterprises that deal with Medicare and Medicaid.

I agree it would be disastrous to sit out the 2012 pres election just because Americans will be force fed Mitt and I have been saying for two years thats who the GOP will back. 80-90% of all politicians are cut from the same cloth and have progressivism disease. And if they don’t have it it is only a matter of time before they are infected.

Could not agree with you more. As badly as I want the GOP to nominate a conservative, I will vote for a RINO like Romney if he’s the Republican nominee. I won’t like it, but getting rid of Obama is absolutely essential to the safety and well being of the country. This must be the #1 goal.

Hopefully, the Tea Party will be active in the primaries and we’ll get a conservative nomineee. It’s far from over, my friends.

hate to say it but i disagree with this. If Romney is the candidate we must vote him in over obama!!! the conservative base may not have Romney as their favorite but they understand a moderate is better than a socialist/muslim appeasing/radical/israeli jew hating/anti-american/antii liberty etc… etc… President

I am a very strong conservative, but I would vote for Romney should he win the nomination. We can’t survive 4 more years of Obama. In fact should he win next year, we might never have another vote!! EVER!!

Sorry Zip—–I will not sit this out unless it is Huntman—–then it does not matter we are scr**ed if he takes the nomination——he is Obummer Jr. It is very important to change that Senate——-then any progressive President has to take a step and back and work with the good guys.

It’s really great to see that the Republicans are going to nominate either Romney, who currently has a 40% favorability rating, or Palin, who has a whopping 32% favorability rating. That’s what the GOP has to offer. Two candidates who the majority of the American people do not like. They elect a right wing teabagger (Rick Scott) as Governor of Florida, a must win state, and he currently is boasting an approval rating of 29%. According to another recent poll, the GOP Governor of Ohio (John Kasich) can brag that if the 2010 election was done over, he would lose by 20%. Boy, you GOPers really know how to party! Please, keep it up! Don’t you go changin’!
