Iran: Ahmadinejad’s Spiritual Adviser Urges Muslims to Kill Israeli Children…

Pure evil.

(Ynet) — A senior Iranian cleric, who is known as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s spiritual mentor, urged followers to continue suicide attacks against Israelis, including children.

Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah, considered one of the Islamic Republic’s most radical clerics, issued a religious edict on his website whereby suicide attacks are not only legitimate but are a must for every Muslim.

The senior cleric was responding to a question from a follower regarding the difference between “martyr’s death” and “suicide.” The man, who wrote anonymously, noted that “some people say that martyrdom acts are considered suicide and are forbidden as they contradict Islam.”

In response, Mesbah expressed his regret that his follower has fallen victim to “propaganda by Islam’s enemies.” He added that the follower was wasting his time instead of focusing on “uprooting the Zionist regime.”

“When defending Islam and the nation of Muslim believers via martyrdom acts, this (suicide attacks) is not only permitted, it’s a duty,” Mesbah wrote.

The follower presented another question regarding Islam’s position on harming Israelis, wondering whether “Hamas and Jihad actions against civilians are forbidden. He also asked: “What about children killed in these attacks?”

Weinergate: CNN Reports Rep. Weiner Lawyers Up Instead of Asking For FBI Investigation Into “Hacking”…

Admission of guilt.

Via BreitbartTV:

CNN’s John King asks a great question: “There’s one way the congressman could try to put this to rest, and that would be to call the Capitol Police or call the FBI and say ‘come on in, please launch an investigation because I was hacked.’ Why hasn’t he done that?”

According to Dana Bash, Rep. Weiner’s office did not respond to that question but informed CNN that the congressman instead has hired a lawyer.

As John King says: “Curious.”

Palestinians Plan to March on Israel’s Borders to Mark “Naksa” Day…

When Obama approved the 1967 border demands he essentially backed these protests.

(JPost) — Following the example of this month’s Nakba Day marches, Palestinians and their supporters are preparing to launch another multipronged assault on Israel’s borders this week to mark the “Naksa,” or setback, of Arab defeat and territorial losses in the 1967 Six Day War.

The website “Third Palestinian Intifada” and its Facebook page, “Countdown to the Third Palestinian Intifada,” have posted detailed plans for marches on Israel’s borders with Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Gaza, as well as processions to Jerusalem’s Al- Aksa Mosque, on three separate dates before and during the war’s anniversary.

The group’s “plan of action” calls for mass rallies on June 3, 5 and 7 – the Friday leading up to the Six Day War anniversary, the date on which the war began and the date Israeli troops took Jerusalem, respectively.

Thirteen people were killed on May 15, Nakba Day, while trying to breach Israel’s borders with Syria and Lebanon.

Israeli Minister Asks World to Come Together And Consider Military Strikes on Iran Nuke Facilities…

Sorry guys, you’re on your own.

(Ynet) — Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya’alon called on the world to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, by all means necessary, including a military strike, the Associated Press reported on Monday. Ya’alon made the comments in an interview to Russian news agency Interfax ahead of a visit to Moscow.

“We strongly hope that the entire civilized world will come to realize what threat this regime is posing and take joint action to avert the nuclear threat posed by Iran, even if it would be necessary to conduct a pre-emptive strike,” Yaalon said.

Ya’alon emphasized that not only Israel would be endangered by a nuclear-armed Iran. “An Iran possessing nuclear weapons would be a threat to the entire civilized world,” he stated.

Western analysts say increasingly tough sanctions on Iran as well as the Stuxnet virus and possible other sabotage have delayed Iran’s nuclear progress, even though they say the country now has enough low-enriched uranium for two bombs if refined more.

Enriched uranium can be used to fuel power plants, Iran’s stated aim, or provide bomb material if processed much further.

Mark Fitzpatrick, a senior fellow for non-proliferation at the International Institute for Strategic Studies think tank, said last week that “the totality of the evidence indicates beyond reasonable doubt” that Iran was seeking a capability to make such weapons.

If Iran decided to “weaponize” enrichment, it would need about 16 months to yield the first bomb’s worth of highly enriched uranium at its Natanzenrichment facility, if all centrifuge machines were used for this purpose, he said.

Pakistan: Christian Woman Gang-Raped by Muslim Kidnappers, Tombs Desecrated…

Sad, but this is just another day for Christians living in Islamic lands.

Faisalabad (AsiaNews) – Christian tombs were recently desecrated and a young Christian woman was gang-raped for an entire night. In both cases, police refused to file a First Information Report, allowing the culprits to escape justice. These are examples of the ordinary violence visited upon Pakistan’s Christian minority. Whether it involves Christian-owned land and property or individuals who are targeted because they are defenceless, victims will not find justice with the country’s legal system. Gradually, Pakistan’s ‘Islamisation’ slowly progresses, especially in the densely populated province of Punjab.

The Pakistan Christian Post reports that, in Chak Jhumra (Faisalabad), Muslim landowners destroyed and desecrated a Christian graveyard, using a tractor to plough over a number of tombs. Buried coffins were broken and the bones of the dead were brought to the surface. The local police refused to open an inquiry, whilst the landowners utter threats against local Christians to get them to stop legal proceedings.

The Faisalabad chapter of the National Commission for Justice and Peace of the Pakistani Catholic Church has intervened in the affair. A team sent by the commission visited the desecrated graveyard and collected evidence.

However, a local Muslim has filed a claim, saying he owned the land on which the cemetery is located. The first hearing in the case is scheduled for 13 June 2011.

“Landowners and extremists are actively involved against the Christian minority in Punjab,” he told AsiaNews. “Most attacks happen in the central part of the province.” The government, he said, should “take charge of the situation and defend the minority.”

As additional evidence of the prevailing atmosphere of violence, a story came to light involving a 29-year-old Christian woman who was abducted by a Muslim co-worker, roughed up, drugged and gang-raped.

Afshan Sabir is a factory worker and a mother of three. She was assaulted over night on 27 March in an unspecified area near Gojra. When she woke up, she sought help in a state of disorientation. She later tried to file a complaint with the local police station. However, instead of helping the woman, police officers helped the rapists cover their tracks.

Western Troops Filmed on the Ground in Libya…

Still not a war?

(Guardian) – Armed westerners have been filmed on the front line with rebels near Misrata in the first apparent confirmation that foreign special forces are playing an active role in the Libyan conflict.

A group of six westerners are clearly visible in a report by al-Jazeerafrom Dafniya, described as the westernmost point of the rebel lines west of the town of Misrata. Five of them were armed and wearing sand-coloured clothes, peaked caps, and cotton Arab scarves.

The sixth, apparently the most senior of the group, was carrying no visible weapon and wore a pink, short-sleeve shirt. He may be an intelligence officer. The group is seen talking to rebels and then quickly leaving on being spotted by the television crew.

The footage emerged as South Africa’s president, Jacob Zuma, arrived in Tripoli in an attempt to broker a ceasefire. He described reports that he would ask Muammar Gaddafi to step down as “misleading”, and said he would instead focus on humanitarian measures and ways to implement a plan concocted by the African Union for Libya make a transition to democratic rule but not seek Gaddafi’s exile.

The westerners were seen by al-Jazeera on rebel lines late last week, days before British and French attack helicopters are due to join the Nato campaign. They are likely to be deployed on the outskirts of Misrata, from where pro-Gaddafi forces continue to shell rebel positions to the east.

Report: Over 400 al-Qaeda Operatives Have Made Their Way to Egypt…

Arab Spring!

(JPost) — Over 400 al-Qaida members have made their way into the Sinai Peninsula, a senior Egyptian security official told the Al-Hayyat satellite television station on Monday.

Egyptian security officials were pursuing the terrorists, who are composed of Palestinians, Beduins and foreign Arab citizens, according to the report. The group was reportedly planning to carry out terror attacks in Egypt, the official said.

Additionally, the terrorists carried out “a number of attacks against [Egyptian]security forces in the Sinai city of El Arish,” the official told Al-Hayyat.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday also addressed Egypt’s security problems in Sinai. “Egypt has had difficulties exercising its sovereignty over Sinai,” he said at a meeting of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

“We saw this in the two gas pipe explosions that occurred there,” Netanyahu said. “What’s happening in Sinai is that global terrorist organizations are meddling there and their presence is increasing because of the connection between Sinai and Gaza.”

Yemen: Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula Seizes Control of Second City…

Abyan has already been declared capital of AQAP’s “Islamic Emirate,” over the weekend they overran Zinjibar.

SANA, Yemen — The Yemeni government ratcheted up its violent response to opponents on two fronts Monday, pounding a major coastal city with airstrikes aimed at dislodging Islamic militants, and smashing the country’s largest antigovernment demonstration in overnight clashes that killed more than a dozen protesters, according to witnesses reached by phone.

Residents in the coastal city of Zinjibar said warplanes attacked militant positions with repeated bombing runs beginning early Monday afternoon, a day after Islamist militants took control of the city, seizing banks and a central government compound. The army shelled the compound, which was also the target of many of the airstrikes, according to witnesses in the city.

As bombs fell in the restive south, security forces and plainclothes gunmen swept through a main square in the central city of Taiz, driving out thousands of antigovernment protesters and violently dismantling the country’s largest continuous sit-in.

It was unclear how many people had died in the Zinjibar fighting, which began on Friday: the city is facing a near total breakdown of services, residents said, with little medical services available, and no electricity or water. Hundreds have fled the city to Aden, the largest southern city, or to neighboring villages. Those who could not afford to leave have taken refuge in local mosques, residents said.

Gallup Poll: Obama’s Approval Rating Among U.S. Military Personnel, Veterans Only 37%, 6 Points Lower Than Civilian Population…

And just yesterday TIME’s Joe Klein amazingly claimed Obama had a better relationship with the military than Bush.

PRINCETON, NJ — U.S. military veterans and those currently on active military duty are less likely to approve of President Obama’s job performance than are Americans of comparable ages who are not in the military.

These results are based on an analysis of more than 238,000 interviews conducted as part of Gallup Daily tracking from January 2010 through April 2011. Respondents were classified as veterans/active-duty military based on responses to a series of questions probing whether any member of the household had served in the U.S. military, and whether the respondent himself or herself had served and, if so, whether the respondent was currently on active duty. Americans currently serving in the military overseas or on ships at sea would not be included in this national cell and landline telephone sample.

Thirty-seven percent of all active-duty military personnel and veterans surveyed approved of the job Obama is doing during the January 2010 to April 2011 time frame. That compares with 48% of nonveterans interviewed during the same period.

Hamas Declares House of Assassinated Spiritual Leader Sheikh Yassin a Heritage Site…

(Ynet) — The Hamas government decided to open the home of its former spiritual leader and founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, who was assassinated in 2004, to visitors.

A Hamas official announced the decision will allow visitors to learn more about Yassin’s “Jihadist career” as well as his activities against the “Israeli occupation.”

“The goal is to commemorate his image in a place which saw him devote his life to the distribution of Islam,” the official remarked.

Hamas prime minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh gave his blessing to the project, saying: “It will help us revive the memory of the Sheikh amongst the Arab and Islamic population.”

Visitors will be able to see the many pictures hanging in Yassin’s living room, including photos with such leaders as Former Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat. The wheelchair he used to get around the house and his conference room will also be on display.

Hamas made sure to preserve and display, for the first time ever, the wheelchair Yassin sat on when he was assassinated, as well as the blanket he covered himself with that day.

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood Sheikh to Run For President, Vows to Implement Sharia Law, Cancel Peace Treaty With Israel…

For those of you keeping track at home, he’s the second MB presidential candidate, even though they promised up and down they wouldn’t do so.

(Al-Masry) — Muslim Brotherhood Sheikh Hazem Abu Ismail announced his intention to run in Egypt’s upcoming presidential elections.

He said that if elected he would implement Islamic sharia law and cancel the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.

Ismail was the Brotherhood’s candidate in 2005 parliamentary elections for Dokki in Giza.

The group announced earlier that it would not take part in the presidential elections and confirmed that it would compete for only half the seats in Parliament. But Ismail is the second Brotherhood member to have announced his intention to run for president in defiance of the group’s leadership. The other Brotherhood candidate is Abdel Moneim Abouel Fotouh, a liberal-minded Islamist.

Abu Ismail said Saturday during a speech in a Dokki mosque that he will sweep the elections. Since he is an ordinary man, he said, the masses will support him.

Abu Ismail said that his platform revolves around Islam, while “Mohamed ElBaradei, Amr Moussa, and Hamdeen Sabahi, the liberal candidates, will be unable to present a clear vision” for the country.

“If I could apply sharia in Egypt, all people, including non-Muslims, would applaud me four years later,” said Abu Ismail.

The sheikh said that no current presidential candidate represents the Egyptian people.

“We seek to apply Islamic law, but those who don’t want it prefer cabarets, alcohol, dancers and prostitution, as the implementation of Islamic law will prohibit women to appear naked in movies and on beaches,” Abu Ismail added.

Algeria Sentences Christian Man to Five Years in Prison For Insulting “Prophet” Mohammed…

From Algeria to Afghanistan, Christians are being mercilessly persecuted in Islamic lands.

Washington (AINA) — International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that an Algerian Christian was sentenced to five years imprisonment for blasphemy in Oran on Wednesday after sharing his Christian faith with a neighbor. The verdict came days after authorities forced the permanent closure of seven Protestant churches in Algeria’s Béjaia province.

Siagh Krimo was charged by the Criminal Court of the Djamel District in Oran, who based their decision on Article 144 bis 2 of the Penal Code which criminalizes acts that “insult the prophet and any of the messengers of God, or denigrate the creed and precepts of Islam, whether by writing, drawing, declaration, or any other means.” Krimo has ten days to appeal the sentence.

Krimo, who is married with a nine month old child, was arrested on April 14, along with another Christian, Sofiane, after sharing his Christian faith with a neighbor. Sofiane was released soon after the arrest, while Krimo was detained for three days. Krimo was known to hold weekly prayer services at his home, which Algerian Christians suspect were being closely monitored by the police.

The prosecutor at Krimo’s trial, held on May 4, failed to present as a witness the neighbor who accused Krimo of proselytizing and making defamatory statements against the Muslim prophet Mohammad. Algerian Christians were hopeful that Krimo would be acquitted of all charges. “Good news, the judge, after having invited Krimo to use wisdom and return to Islam, has ended the affair,” an Algerian church leader in Tizi Ouzou told ICC on May 4. “We hope this will end well.”
