Charlie Rangel “100 Percent” Sure Weiner Victim of Conspiracy…

(NRO) — Rep. Charlie Rangel (D., N.Y.) tells NRO that he stands behind Rep. Anthony Weiner “100 percent” as the Twitter drama unfolds in Washington.
Rangel, who has been beset by scandalous charges in recent years, says that Weiner is likely the victim of a smear campaign. “It’s some kind of political game they’re playing,” he says. “I don’t know who did it, but that’s what they’re doing.”

This is so easy to fix, computer hacking is a federal offense, all the weiner has to do is make a report and it will be investigated, isnt that what anyone who was hacked would do….unless the weiner is worried about maybe, oh I dont know, filing a false report with the FBI and maybe having to go to prison for that or something…right charlie

Believe it or not, unlike Democrats when a Republican is involved, I’m willing to give Weiner the benefit of the doubt. Somebody could have hacked into his Twitter account. My son, who works in computer network security says a good hacker could do it no problem.
I would like to see an impartial, complete investigation. Let the chips fall where they may.

It is pretty easy to hack, well for me anyway. I have worked around routers and servers for over 20 years. I am self taught and have been approached many times to get a CCNA certification. Having one of these only makes you swear to obey the rules.

Well, I will take Rangel’s interjection with a grain of salt, as we all know that Rangel is not very good with numbers. (100% – 10%, 6 inches – 10 inches – it’s all relative.0
I doubt that Weiner actually intended that this pic went out, although he could have taken a pic. My issue is that he wasn’t so outraged that he asked for an investigation, immediately. It just opens up questions in my mind, and thoughts that perhaps it was accidentally downloaded, or sent by a relative or acquaintance, and it snowballed. Maybe he is not denying because it is him, but he never intended it to go anywhere. Who knows? It is an embarrassment to say the least and he may be a victim, but his lack of a forthright explanation, or immediate request for investigation, is what has caused this controversy, and he is responsible for that.
