Liberal NY Mag Attacks WZ Commenters For Daring To Oppose Romney’s Pro-Global Warming Statement…

Look at you guys, getting an entire article dedicated to you. Congrats…

(NY Mag) - Denying that human activity is making the Earth warmer, despite the opinion of people who spend their lives studying these things, was thought to be a precondition of being a serious, viable Republican presidential candidate. But earlier today, Mitt Romney proclaimed at a town hall in New Hampshire that “the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that.” He added, “It’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors.”

These are very limited opinions that shouldn’t be controversial at all. Romney didn’t advocate a cap-and-trade plan. He didn’t support an increase in the gas tax. He didn’t say we should run our cars on hemp and bong water. He just agreed with scientific consensus and then mentioned that it would be good if we found some way to not destroy the planet. Reasonable enough. So, obviously, his campaign is now over, according to the comments on the conservative blog Weasel Zippers:

“This should be the straw that broke the RINO’s back.” [Dave -ed.]

“Thanks for playing. Please take your consolation prize (a year’s worth of car wax!) and leave the stage.” [Zapped by a Weasel]

“Throw Mittens on the scrap heap with the rest of them, his Presidential campaign is over before it even started.” [X Man]

“Get lost loser. Rinos like Romney can kiss both sides of my hairy ass.” [P.O.A.]

“Nicely done… a 24 hour campaign comes to an end. Gotta be a record of some kind.” [Rufus]

“Yep, he pulled the plug.” [Credit Man]

“Another nail in the coffin that holds his Presidental aspirations. Nope, never, no way should he be the nominee!” [brinksmom]

“Stick a fork in him, he’s done.” [sablegsd]

i think the fact that the idea that man contributes to global warming…while the sun…you know, the big giant ball of fire in the sky that controls the seasons…doesnt is what alot of folks have an issues with.

Man, this mere speck that can only lives on about 15% of the 20% of the planet that isnt water…is doing more to effect the global temperatures than the sun??

come on. tell ya what, when man can stop a volcano from erupting or when we can stop an earthquake from occuring, then i will believe we have mastered and controlled our environment.

If Mitt had used different words regarding the environment, maybe… Nawww, what he says about ethanol just shows the direction he’s heading.
Give up Mitt. Stop now. You’re wasting our time. Throw your support behind Cain or Bachmann (or West and Palin if they declare). That’s a better use of your time.

A few of my peers in the communication industry and I have been monitoring the HAARP site here in Alaska. We have also been watching the jet stream and it’s movement. We have figured out that they are using the high powered HAARP Radios and Phased Array to slowly steer the jet stream as it moves over Alaska. So you can say many of the weather changes we see are in fact man man, but they are doing it deliberately. The HAARP Array is powerful enough to make low level Aurora light up. What we think they are doing it heating the the water vapor and causing it to rise up in the atmosphere creating a bump to slowly steer stream the jet stream.

  21. a former dem says:

“Tell me what woke you up from the liberal nightmare you were in.”

Was a lifelong democrat until May 31th 2008. The undemocratic party took, actually took, delegates Hillary earned and gave them to the fraud. Redistribution of votes. Woke me up to the farce of the lunatics cheating party.

I was a hillary supporter, she was treated like a conservative, I never saw the double standard until Hillary herself was treated with that double standard. And then when Palin came on board, I saw her so vicisiously attacked like no one I have ever seen. That woke me up.

I’m very fiscally very conservative, very much a free market, limited small govt person, but I’m not a social conservative. So what woke me up? O.B.A.M.A
I’m probably not as conservative as many on this blog, but like most independents I am right of center, but when the dems have gone this far radical left, anyone who is even just right of center is a hard core conservative, compartively.

So, now that my eyes are open, I read things, make my own mind up, for example, global warming, in 2006, I absolutely believed Al Gore, now I wouldn’t trust one word that he says, like Dr. Michael Crichton, “Science is not a religion”.
This is what conservatives don’t seem to understand, most dems, conservative, centerist, moderate dems have fled the party, so the concentration of the commies, far lefties is there, but the actual number of dems has decreased.

Once the blinders are off, I am more able to convince dems like me to be more conservative, and what that actually means, not how the dems define it. There was a time in this country when dems and repubs had the common foundation of being conservatives, limited govt, etc.

so NY magazine… please keep reporting on mittens and ignoring how many indies cannot stand your Messaih.

1200 years ago, “scientists” told us the Earth was more or less flat. They were ultimately proven wrong.

500 years ago, “scientists” told us the Earth was the center of the universe, and everything else rotated around us. They were ultimately proven wrong.

50 years ago (more or less) “scientists” told us that the atom was the smallest particle of matter in existence. They were ultimately proven wrong.

Today, “scientists” tell us that Global Warming (or Cooling, or Change or whatever it is they are calling it these days) is caused by man. Evidence is already piling up that they will ultimately be proven wrong about that as well.

We are also expected to believe that the cause of man-made global warming is US citizens – not Brazilians, not Chinese. Notice that the news media and Al [the buffoon] Gore only blame US citizens.

I guess they didn’t want to remind their readers about that. Nothing to see there, sheeple, move along.

@Monster Zero – I don’t believe it’s impossible for man to change the environment, but I’ve yet to see any convincing science (that wasn’t faked) to prove that we have.

With all the evidence about the fake hockey stick graphs, UN emails, and the East Anglia crap, you would think Mittens and his staph would know better than to attempt to push this insanity. They need to sit down, and have a chat with Dr. Roy Spencer, the EIB climatologist, or read his testimony to Congress. Why is it that the American people do their homework, find out the truth, but dipshits like Romney run around screaming the sky is falling? Which America is he living in? For the love of Pete, the polling data suggests most Americans do not believe global warming is anything other than natural cycles the Earf goes through. Hence, once upon a time there was an ice age! In fact, there have been several.

I loathe and despise Huckahu Ackbar, but if Mittens keeps this shit up, he might just take Mike’s place. One thing is for sure, he makes Pawlenty look like the energizer bunny.

Congrats to Zip and the Zippers who got quoted in this magazine I have never heard of. Great publicity, hope the traffic goes through the roof with non-troll and non-GOP Estab folks.

Fish-appreciated your comment, it didn’t tell me to go fuck myself or call me, Monster Zero who has been battling the libtards for the last three years, a libtard. I do not agree with the politicization of what is going on with greenhouse gas emissions but I have to say, in my lifetime, I have seen the effect that we have had on our world and our environment. We have more people alive at one time on earth than ever before, perhaps more than if cumulatively totaled. China runs it’s ports 24/7/365 just to import food to feed its population, one good blip in the food production and it is chaos. I remember seeing this scientific documentary back in the early 1980′s way before anyone even thought up global warming on the amount of CO2 being put out just since the end of WWII, it was in the billions of metric tons. That is a significant volume when you talk of gases and the oceans which absorb these gases in the weather balance can only compensate for so much…it just makes common scientific sense to me and therefore I find it plausible. I do not have a political agenda on this and I do not buy their cap and trade bullshit. I say be a good steward of the land as the bible says and don’t shit in your own mess kit elst nature will take its course, we are a strand in the web, not the spider.

@Monster Zero – Go fuck yourself, libtard!

    I keed! I keed!

Seriously though, I can appreciate your stance on whole thing and I don’t think anyone could fault you for saying we shouldn’t shit in our own mess kits.

I think one of the problems in getting everyone on board with the “good steward of the land” line of thinking is that the Al Gores take it so far as to make the word “green” sound offensive to the folks who aren’t convinced of any man made issues.

It’s easy to resent the Al Gores once you realize they are just out to rob you, and then the tendency is to resent their alleged cause and be anti-green out of spite.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that the cause to protect the earth is of course a noble one, and the fact that the Al Gores fraudulently use that cause as an excuse to pass their tax agendas doesn’t change the validity of the cause itself.

    Fish-
Ouch, that hurt man…I didn’t mind the fucking yourself but did you have to throw on the vulgar and vile libtard slur? (sic)
    Bingo you hit it-
That is what I have repeatedly been saying about politicizing the issue, it is simply a platform for them to use in their own quest for control and power. To me that is not what it translates to, to them it is simply a way to get more of our money through taxation, regulate businesses and for people like Asshole Al Gore, make billions in some bullshit carbon credit scheme while jetting around in his jumbo jet or tooling around in his limo.

There is nothing worse than an enviro nazi bureaucrat, I call for a stump breaking death by chi-chi!

@Monster Zero – You’re right, I’m sorry about that. Calling you a libtard is too far even for a joke. :)

NY Mag praises Romney for statements that show a basic misunderstanding of the ‘climate’ issue. The theory of global warming is based on one thing, excessive carbon dioxide in the environment. (Though that is secondary to the UN and others who state the climate issue is mainly economic in which trillions of dollars must be transferred from the US to countries in Africa). In the statement cited Romney makes a common mistake, confuses general air ‘pollution’ with “emissions,” not even mentioning CO2. Everyone agrees ‘pollution’ is bad, but ‘the science’ behind AGW theory says sinking islands are due to excess CO2. So he promotes dangerous misinformation, helping a trillion dollar carbon offset trading industry infested with organized crime and money laundering–which everyone knows about and ignores. He promotes trillions more to be robbed from American taxpayers for “global warming” research and programs, which have worked behind the scenes for decades and affect everyone down to the town street sweeper today. Central ClimateGate scientist Phil Jones said global warming had ceased after 1995. The UK source for much of the UN’s claim for global warming was forced to admit that its original data had been mistakenly discarded so cannot be checked. None of the results can be duplicated because the raw data was destroyed (reported in Daily Mail in 2010). Therefore it’s not science. Many scientists say we should put more blame on ‘aerosols’ for climate problems and that we desperately need more research on that. The last 2 climate satellites we launched especially for aerosol research both crashed shortly after take-off, both from the same malfunction.

good point chili- one free radical in the upper atmosphere produced from some aeresols can break millions of ozone molecules that are the protection from UV in the upper stratosphere…funny they call it a free radical huh?

Romney the impostor must be defeated. He is a typical northeast RINO who is nothing but a crony capitalist. Here is my article on it:
