Nancy Pelosi (D-Insulting Our Intelligence) Blames Horrific Jobs Report On Tornadoes…

Typical elitist Democrat who thinks she can use her superior intelligence to fool us common folk.

SCHIEFFER: You know, the unemployment figures came out, and they were worse than expected, as you know. Unemployment actually ticked up to 9.1%, but this was just part of the story. A series of numbers that have been really, really bad lately. The number of new jobs created – 54,000 – far fewer than expected. Home prices hit a new low in the first quarter of the year. Home sales are down again. Consumer confidence is down, and gas and food prices are up. I have to say, Congresswoman, many of the experts thought the recovery would be well underway by now. But it looks like we’re going backwards now, that we may be on the verge of a double-dip recession here. Do you fear that’s what’s happened?

PELOSI: Well, I think we have to take a careful look at those figures to see. The unemployment numbers are obviously disturbing. Are they an anomaly as some people suggest because of the disasters in the south and the mid-west and the rest or is this something systemic that we have to accommodate in a different way? But, all of it translates into hardship for America’s middle class and they are feeling it very, very severely.

Pelosi (her Earth name) needs to summon the mothership and go back home.

MSNBC: Obama’s Job Loss Blamed on Natural Disasters, Bush’s Job Growth ‘False’ Because of… Natural Disasters?

The hardest-hit states already are seeing claims pour in for unemployment benefits. Since a deadly wave of tornadoes swept through Tuscaloosa, Ala., and other Southeast towns in late April, more than 6,000 people have applied for disaster-related jobless benefits, said Tom Surtees, director of the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations. Typically about 24,000 people file for jobless benefits each month in the state, where the jobless rate is 9.3 percent, a bit above the national average.

    ……

Some analysts were skeptical about the latest surge of hiring, pointing out that much of the unusually large jump in October stemmed from cleanup and rebuilding in Florida and other states that were ravaged by four hurricanes in August and September, the Labor Department said.

Maybe we can blame the horrific jobs report on a Whorenado.

The tornadoes happened at the end of May, how the hell would they have impacted much of the supposed job growth.

Every local business I know is literally huckering down, they don’t trust the marxist, and are tightening their businesses, not hiring anyone, not expanding any aspect of their business unless they absolutley have to. Indiv. families are doing the same.

“Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg for the Democracy Corps, a progressive group, offers a sobering analysis of the challenge…Current Democratic narratives too often fail to meet voters where they are in how they perceive and experience the economy and, even more important, do not speak to voters’ aspirations and goals when thinking about the economic future. They do not take the voters’ economic understanding seriously when indeed, they are dead serious.”

A new congressional Joint Economic Committee report confirms that the Obama administration’s monetary policies have added approximately 56.5 cents to the price of every gallon of gas you pump.

At the end of 2008, prior to Obama’s coming into office, the price of a barrel of oil stood at $42.10, but that same barrel of oil has increased to $115.84 ̶ a 150 percent increase. The same gallon of gas that cost $1.61 when George W. Bush left office now costs an average of $3.93 cents ̶ up 146 percent.

    The Daily Caller reported –

The Obama administration’s monetary policies have added approximately 56.5 cents to the price of every gallon of gas you pump, according to a new congressional Joint Economic Committee report.

Estimates suggest that had the dollar maintained the value it had when Obama came into office, gasoline would cost approximately $3.40 per gallon instead of around $4 per gallon in many parts of the country.

“Analysts and pundits often cite, correctly or incorrectly, the turmoil in the Middle East, a strengthening global economy, or speculation as the causes for the run up in crude oil prices,” the report said. “What is rarely discussed as an important factor in the rise of the dollar price of oil is the role played by the dollar itself.”

The report attributes this increase to the Federal Reserve’s policy of increasing the money supply through the purchasing trillions worth of bank notes, treasury notes and mortgage-backed securities, known as quantitative easing, which it says has fueled inflation.

President Obama publicly defended the Fed’s decision to engage in quantitative easing last fall during the G20 Summit in India in the wake of Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke’s decision to print money to buy back $600 billion worth of government bonds in August 2010.

“It was designed to grow the economy,” the president told Bloomberg.
