(Houston Chronicle) — The elderly are killed. Young women are raped. And able-bodied men are given hammers, machetes and sticks and forced to fight to the death.
In one of the most chilling revelations yet about the violence in Mexico, a drug cartel-connected trafficker claims fellow gangsters have kidnapped highway bus passengers and forced them into gladiatorlike fights to groom fresh assassins.
In an in-person interview arranged by intermediaries on the condition that neither his name nor the location of his Texas visit be published, the trafficker also admitted to helping push cocaine worth $5 million to $10 million a month into the United States.
Law enforcement sources confirm he is a cartel operative but not a fugitive from pending charges.
His words are not those of a federal agent or drawn from a news conference or court papers.
Instead, he offers a voice from inside Mexico’s mayhem — a mafioso who mingles among crime bosses and foot soldiers in a protracted war between drug cartels as well as against the government.
If what he says is true, gangsters who make commonplace beheadings, hangings and quartering bodies have managed an even crueler twist to their barbarity.
Members of the Zetas cartel, he says, have pushed passengers into an ancient Rome-like blood sport with a modern Mexico twist that they call, “Who is going to be the next hit man?”
“They cut guys to pieces,” he said.
The victims are likely among the hundreds of people found in mass graves in recent months, he said.

I spend time on some narcoblogs that document the violence in Mexico and the sheer brutality of these cartels, the Zetas especially, is astounding.
They started the beheadings after the wonderful Muslims started posting their videos and they’ve gone even farther down the path.
Islam is by far the biggest threat to our nation but something needs to be done about our borders and these cartels. Amazing that this shit is going on right at our border and the piece of shit in the WH does NOTHING about it.
Islamification of Mexico?
Beheading and atrocities weren’t daily occurrences outside of the middle east until Muslims began entering Mexico (to get to the US). Now in southern Mexico there are large numbers of people converting to Islam.
The Mexican drug cartels are no different from Al Quaeda.
You think things can’t get much worse for the Mexican people with the hangings from bridges and murders everywhere.
I swear if I were a religious person I’d say these are the end of times.

Please pray for our country. There are about 5 scandals below the surface that can stop Zero and Co., but only if public outrage becomes great enough. We got a glimpse of one in March/April when Zero’s ineligibility made them so nervous they released a forged birth certificate that was detectable within hours and has been confirmed so over and over by graphics experts. Corsi and WND will continue to keep that one hot.
Unfortunately Lame Cherry is correct in that Issa is not our friend. But there are many good citizens working to keep truth out there. God willing, their efforts will produce greater effects.
