House GOP Includes Language In Spending Bill To Strip Funding For Four Of Obama’s Czars…

(Politico) — House Republicans are striking back after the Obama administration rebuffed an earlier GOP effort to strip funding for so-called White House policy czars.

Republicans have included language in the fiscal 2012 financial services spending bill to slash the salaries for four senior White House advisory positions, a House Democratic aide told POLITICO.

The four jobs targeted by the ban: senior advisers on health reform, energy and climate change, autos and manufacturing, and urban affairs.

The spending bill language is expected to be released Wednesday and marked up Thursday in the Appropriations Committee’s Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee.

I’m not getting too excited, the last time the GOP did this Obama issued a signing statement and ignored the ban. You know, because the rules don’t apply to him.

April 15, 2011:

President Obama signed into law on Friday the hard-fought legislation to fund government and keep it running through the end of September. . . . But Obama took the key step of issuing a signing statement, a declaration of constitutional interpretation by a president of legislation he or she might sign into law. It essentially notified lawmakers that he would not abide by the section of the law defunding the establishment of so-called “czars.”

Obama has employed a good number of these informal policy advisers who aren’t subject to Senate confirmation, drawing the ire of congressional Republicans and prompting them to include in their spending bill a provision barring the use of federal funds for czars.

“House Republicans tacked on language to the contentious spending bill to cut the salaries for four so-called czars”. Shit boys, why not cut 100% spending on 100% of the czars? Go for the jugular and quit fucking around!

The GOP might accomplish more if they hired some of the millions of out-of-work Americans to go into the czars’ offices at night, pack up all their stuff, and send it on moving trucks to sell in Mexico. That way they’d be creating jobs, recycling garbage, and promoting international commerce.

    Win-win situation all around.

Obama doesn’t have to comply with the law, why would anyone expect him to comply with this. He and Holder are accessories in murder for Operation Gunrunner. Will they be charged with a crime, no, they just call it policy, and voila, off the hook. They looted the treasury, and called it a stimulus. Will they be charged with embezzlement, for saying it was going to create jobs, and then gave it to their friends, no. They will call it policy, and again, off the hook. They call everything policy, and then it becomes legal.

Perfect job for criminals, don’t you think. Stalin was a bank robber too. We’re in a banana republic now.

By the way, Obama want to give our Nuclear secrets to Russia. Under normal circumstances that would be treason, right? Well if you are Barack Obama, you just rename it “Policy,” or some call it, “Bad Policy,” and you can commit treason.

Well, that WOULD save on gas. But I imagine the czars would just hire illegals to fetch the stuff back in again, so it has to be taken far, far away.

The more I think about it, the more I think something like this needs to be done. What Constitutional authority did BHO have for setting up these czars in the first place? It’s my understanding that these were intentional illegal end-runs around the checks-and-balances of our tripartite government system. They all should be thrown out.

Okay, this shit is gettin serious. Like, impeachment serious: If Obama really issued a signing statement saying he wasn’t obliged to comply with the spending restrictions, that’s a clear Constitutional violation.

There’s a frequent, intentional tension between the 3 branches of govt, in which one branch takes an action that that would unconstitutionally expand its power. At that point one of the other two branches is supposed to challenge the action, and the case goes to the Supreme Court.

Historically most of the testing has been done by the president. And when presidents are challenged they typically react by saying the equivalent of “I don’t have to obey anything that congress says, because we’re equal branches.”

This isn’t quite right. Some of you who are old enough may recall that a GOP president wanted to NOT spend money congress had authorized in a duly passed law. This was called “impoundment”, and the Supreme Court said it was illegal.

So presidents must indeed obey laws duly passed by congress and signed by the president. And for that astonishingly dumb sonofabitch in the oval office the say otherwise shows a) he’s dumber than he thinks; and b) he’s surrounded by some equally clueless fucks.

To congress: If you don’t impeach this anti-American marxist you will have sacrificed the Constitution…just so you could avoid a fight.

The Boston Tea Party was an illegal act; but it was deemed to be a necessary act of civil disobedience. Doing civil disobedience is not hard–the tricky part is determining when the time is absolutely right for such acts. Too soon, and it can backfire; too late, and it is futile.

    Timing is critical.

I would like to see articles of impeachment against this asshole as soon as he passes the deadline – and Congress, show some more guts by defunding 100%. Idiots.
