MSNBC Boss Phil Griffin: “MSNBC Is The Place To Go For Progressives”…

MSNBC boss Phil Griffin, in an interview with the Associated Press’ David Bauder, says the cable news network has survived the departure of its star host Keith Olbermann, and will be more than ready to handle Olbermann’s return to television tonight on Current. Griffin repeated his belief that the network is strong enough now to ultimately compete with Fox News for first place. “MSNBC has established a sensibility, a position, a platform,” he said. “MSNBC stands for something and MSNBC is really the place to go for progressives and people who are looking for smart, thoughtful analysis. We’re growing, and we’re putting real effort behind it.”
Griffin’s suggestion that MSNBC is the “place to go” for progressives has already been jumped on by some conservative critics as proof of the network’s “hard-left slant,” as Lachlan Markay writes on NewsBusters.

Is this guy Griffin on meth? MSDNC has been the place to go for brain-dead progressives for years and their ratings are still in the toilet.
They can’t even compete with CNN for chrissakes.

Yes, he is right. MSNBC is the place for mind- numb robots who are literally voting American into third world socialism, and they will keep going until we are living in a hard tyranny. Because they are that stupid.
Sure hope Comcast, the new owners of NBC and its cable stations, will show Griffin the door. GE was totally beholden to the Obama administration and made sure NBC, et al promoted its insane and destructive agenda. Comcast is purportedly more Fox-like fair and balanced, but if Griffin keeps his job, it suggests otherwise.

At some point the business guys of Comcast will have to look at the business value of MSNBC. This will happen. This is why GE took the position they did about MSNBC. It was worth it in government contracts to let the channel develop it’s current political bent. Comcast, at this moment, may be offering to the Obama administration this venue for a price? I do know that eventually the bean counters will have to shut it down if it doesn’t turn a profit.
