Harry Reid Picks Huntsman Over Romney As His Favorite Mormon RINO…
Normally I’d say this is the kiss of death but that would be assuming Huntsman has a shot at winning.
(The Hill) — Even though he won’t be able to cast a vote, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) picked his favorite Mormon candidate in the GOP presidential field on Tuesday: Jon Huntsman.
Reid, a Mormon, was asked if the country is ready for a president of his faith since there are two in the Republican primary race — Huntsman, the former U.S. ambassador to China; and Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor.
“Certainly they’re not ready for the former governor of Massachusetts. Which says in that race if I had a choice I would favor Huntsman over Romney,” he told reporters at the Capitol.
Reid criticized Romney, the front-runner, for changing his position on issues such as gay marriage, saying “he doesn’t know who he is.”
“Here’s a man who doesn’t know who he is. He was for gay marriage when he was governor. Now he’s against it. He was for abortion when he was governor. Now he’s against it,” he said.

Huntsman could be the Romney kriptonite we have been looking for. Here is what I am thinking, he is going to suck all the oxygen out of the Romney room. He could actually hurt Mittnes in NH, and we could end up with Bachmann or some other more Conservative leaning candidate winning instead of Romney. In other words, Huntsman is doing the same political smarmy word dance in trying to appeal to the Indies and Mod Squad. In truth however, everyone knows Reagan won those people by speaking the 100% Conservative hard hitting truth. (See audio from Rush today for example. Reagan verbally body slammed Carter!) A memo these two morons, and their campaign staff members have yet to read. So, I am all for this weasel worded PROGRESSIVE staying in long enough to smack down the Mittens. In the long run, it could help make sure a Conservative comes out on top of this heap of candidates.
And mega, major dittoes to Shadow on the MSM having a hard one for Huntsman. It is 2008 McCain deja vu all over again. Blech!

Reid endorsed Huntsman too early. He’s going to be in trouble with the DNC for exposing their plans. He was supposed to wait until Huntsman sealed the candidacy, then torpedo him.
