Senate Dems Block GOP Attempt At Defunding Obama’s Czars…

Long live the czars!

(Politico) — Senate Democrats on Thursday knocked down the latest GOP effort to unseat the Obama administration’s policy “czars.”

The chamber voted 47-51 to defeat an amendment from Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) to strip the salaries of czars currently working in the White House and would block the president from appointing more without Senate approval.

Two moderate Democrats — Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Ben Nelson of Nebraska — broke rank to endorse the measure. The GOP was unified in supporting the effort, which was offered as an amendment to legislation aimed at speeding up stalled presidential nominations.

Republicans and conservative media pundits have launched several legislative attempts to unseat the White House policy advisers, accusing the Obama administration of skirting congressional oversight and leaving key decisions in the hands of unelected bureaucrats.

They fight against our constitution because they want more power. Nothing says Marxist Takeover better than a council of unelected elitist a$$holes micro managing our lives and taking away our individual liberties.

Commies just can’t give up there czars and let the people have a decision. The Republicans have enough material to never allow the Dems to win another election, but do they have the guts to declare unconditional war and save this nation?

Being as how the GOP was so valiant in unseating G.W.’s 30+ czars (an AIDS (abstinence) czar, really G.W.? Good thing he wasn’t caught using prostitutes… oh wait.) they don’t at all appear to be giant hypocrites in this latest publicity stunt.

    The public sector/unions gets larger.
Private sector lost another 1/2 million jobs last month
Were supposed to be trimming the fat and these useless “consultants” are retained.
But the militarys gonna be sent packin in a few months in whats is clearly a campaign strategy, not a campaign to defeat our enemies, who are not conservatives and republicans.
I wish Barrys dad had withdrawn early and saved us all this misery

Make it a weekly attempt to defund the czars, use the libs own tactics and hit them from all sides nonstop until 2012.

Firstly, you know there are no employees of the federal government who actually have the word ‘czar’ in their title, right? It’s just short-hand to refer to someone who reports to the POTUS on a particular issue.

Secondly, if having people pursue the president’s policies and agenda is unconstitutional, why hasn’t anyone made that argument before? America has had non-Cabinet level members of the executive branch working for the President before they formalized the Cabinet positions. A great opportunity would have been in the ’70s when Nixon started calling them ‘czars’.

And lastly, you guys know that the Communists killed the last czar and his family, right? So the czars in the history books were never communists.

Gee, its almost like this is a ridiculous manufactured outrage that has nothing to do with reality.
