Assploding Chutzpah: Dem Sen. Sherrod Brown Accuses GOP Of “Committing Class Warfare”…

Private jet owners unavailable for comment.

(RCP) — “Well, they [Republicans] draw this line in the sand on corporate jets. On oil company subsidies. On what’s happening in Wyoming with those 2,000 sort of shell companies. They draw that line in the sand, they’re going to see most of America walk across that line from the other side where Republicans are,” Sen. Sherrod Brown, Democrat of Ohio said on “The Rachel Maddow Show.”

“The only thing that Cantor missed is that usually they say when President Obama does something like that or when we do something like that they usually accuse us of ‘class warfare.’ When in fact, we’re not committing class warfare, we’re just pointing out how they’ve committed class warfare for two decades by loading up the tax code with all these breaks for people who already have privilege,” Brown said.

    “who already have privilege”

    ——–

Show me where government has the authority to regulate privilege?

Show me where the constitution allows a monetary value to be put on freedom? If the left says that one special interest group has more freedom than another, then by what unit of measure are they referring to?

Only an ideology obsessed with material things could make such an observation.

Oh and BTW, the US constitution deals only with individual liberty. The document doesn’t recognize groups other than city, county, state, etc. All other divisions of the total population are artificial, partisan designations.

Exactly what percentage of income is intended by the expression “our fare share”?

    50%?

    75%?

    95%?

Give us a number we can work with. Give us a number that we can refer back to at a later date (when the ‘fair share’ unexpectedly increases).

Before the government claims the authority to regulate happiness, don’t they first have to find a universally recognized definition of happiness? (or create one)

How could a single definition of happiness apply to everyone?

Stunned it too weak of word for the feeling I get every time a leftist clearly illustrates the kind of projection that we are seeing here.

If you analyze what he is saying here he is guilty of the worst kind of double speak imaginable.

“When in fact, we’re not committing class warfare, we’re just POINTING OUT how they’ve committed class warfare for two decades by LOADING UP THE TAX CODE with all these breaks for PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE PRIVILEGE,” Brown said.

In the same breath we have someone saying the right is committing class warfare by creating ways for ALL American citizens, regardless of affluence, to keep more of the money they EARN (which in turn creates a better economic environment for the rich and poor) while simultaneously committing the act himself through his illustration.

Are we sure this isn’t an Onion piece?

    “we’re not committing class warfare”

    ———-

NEWS FLASH! ‘Multiculturalism’ is Class Warfare.

Anything that generalizes people according to a single perceived trait, not necessarily even a real trait, is inviting conflict between people of a different stereotypical group.

If every persons rights are based on their existence as an individual, then what purpose does a class designation serve? The only possibility i can see for separating people into different classes, economic, ethnic, or spiritual, is to create a different set of rules for each class.

The purpose of human classes is for the comparison of apples to oranges. It’s nearly impossible to compare any two things that cannot be put into the same context.

    ———

    Fifth Amendment:

“No PERSON shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any PERSON be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

Your inclusion in a special interest group doesn’t entitle you to anything, nor should it incriminate you.

Brown is an off-the-rack lefty, a tired, worn-out recycler of standard-issue liberal canards, a Yalie who after a brief career as a college professor started drawing a government paycheck when he was first elected to the Ohio state legislature in 1975.

Cannot wait to get rid of this POS.
