(MRC) — On Morning Joe, commenting on President Obama’s performance at the previous day’s press conference, Mark Halperin says “I think he was kind of a dick yesterday.”
Update: MSNBC has issued the following statements:
Mark Halperin’s comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst.

I completely agree with everything in MSNBC’s statement about my remark. I believe that the step they are taking in response is totally appropriate. Again, I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the President, to my MSNBC colleagues, and to the viewers. My remark was unacceptable, and I deeply regret it.

I wonder if Mark Halperin has a legal case against MSNBC. He asked if he could speak his mind openly, inquired about the 7 second delay and only after he was assured by both anchors and the producer, he proceeded. It kind of seems like they had a consensus there, doesn’t it? Then MSNBC breached it immediately. Honestly, the guy running the board was asked if they could do the delay, Mark got the “go ahead”, spoke and THEN they inform him, “opps”!
I don’t believe MSNBC that was legitimately an error on their part. They need to be sued till it hurts bad. Personally, if I were a scheduled guest to follow that episode, I’d have cancelled, who can trust THEM?
