   The problem with your analysis is that the Peter Principle assumes that a person has done something of merit at a lower level in order to be promoted.

   Obama as POTUS is the same as a person who makes minimum wage winning the lottery. They immediately get power and attention and don’t have the wisdom or experience to know how to use it.

    Isn’t he even embarassed when critics find numerous factual inaccuracies? e.g. his daughter’s age, the fact that his stimulus funded those hated corporate jets, etc. Hate for another group, blame it on someone else and nary a constructive suggestion comprises his total speaking narrative. I would be ashamed if I worked for him.

    The worse we paint others with our speech the worse we look when we find ourselves needing their help in the future. Better to let others’ actions and words speak for themselves while providing reasoned actions to take where we are.

    That said; Obama has never reminded me more of George W. Bush than he did yesterday with his swaggering and slouching.

    His entire presentation in this clip is the most unpresidential I have ever seen – he is behaving more like an employee who is defending and rationalizing why they got a deservedly unfavorable review. sb has the right word, “petulant”.
