He also shows how it offers relaxing simplifications of the real complexities of life in the way that a religion does.

The distinction that Liberalism makes, as crazy as it might sound, are the leftists own version of Good and Evil.
Van Jones was telling the truth when he said his was a “moral system”. He has every intention of labeling the people that stand before him as Good or Evil. Those deemed as ‘Good’ are considered allies. Those deemed ‘Evil’ are to be destroyed “by any means necessary”. If they already know who the bad people are, incriminating evidence is manufactured after the supposed crime. Evidence is planted wherever it needs to be put. Data is falsified…… Alibis are coordinated….
The rules be damned! This is a lynch-mob mentality.

Georgia’s Culture Minister Nika Rurua defended the authorities’ action on Friday, saying “I believe Stalin was a political criminal, who led the Russian Bolshevik army into Georgia in 1921, which eventually carried out Georgia’s occupation. Stalin was a man who simply destroyed the best parts of Georgia.”
The left is willing to make deal with any interest group that supports the idea of a centralized moral authority; fascist dictators, Islamists, totalitarian communists…….all to eliminate any perception that people can control their own actions.
The state wants to outlaw everything that it considers ‘Evil’ (those things that cost more than they produce). This should really tick-off the ‘Legalize Marijuana’ crowd. And once government does a study and realizes that homosexuality contributes nothing to ‘the collective’, but drains the limited resources of our National Health Care system, the new Liberal sodomy laws will begin to appear.
It was progressives who originally banned alcohol consumption, and started our long war on drugs. It was they who started the idea of moral laws.
