1 — There has been no formal dialogue between the US and the Muslim Brotherhood as a group in the past.
2 — Previous dialogue had only taken place between few officials from the US Embassy and MB parliamentarians, including Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, former head of the MB parliamentary bloc, in their capacities as representatives of the Egyptian people not the MB.
3 — MB’s Executive Bureau has always adopted the principle of dialogue with all political forces and trends, and that includes dialogue with the US so long as there is continued and reciprocated respect.

Quite right. Unlike Americans who mostly have a McDonald’s mentality (I want my order right now) Most Muslims take a long term view of world history. They see what happened 900 years ago as the foundation for what they are doing now, and what they are doing now as the foundation for the global caliphate to come. In other words, they are more concerned about the long term process, not if they get to see the full fruits of it in their lifetime. This means they are persistent and patient, whereas Westerners tend to get distracted, forget and move on to the next thing.
This dialogue with the MB is not going to bode well for us at all.
