Herman Cain Says Voters Should Have Right To Prevent Mosque Construction If Community Opposes It…

The inevitable CAIR meltdown in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1.

(Politico) — Herman Cain says voters across the country should have the right to prevent Muslims from building mosques in their communities.

In an exchange on “Fox News Sunday,” the Republican presidential contender said that he sided with some in a town near Nashville who were trying to prevent Muslims from worshiping in their community.

“Our Constitution guarantees the separation of church and state,” he said. “Islam combines church and state. They’re using the church part of our First Amendment to infuse their morals in that community, and the people of that community do not like it. They disagree with it.”

Asked by host Chris Wallace if any community could ban a mosque if it wanted to, Cain said: “They have a right to do that.”

Cain, an African-American who grew up during the civil rights era, claimed he was not discriminating against Muslims. He said it was “totally different” than the fight for racial equality because there were laws prohibiting blacks from advancing.

Nonetheless, Cain has drawn backlash for comments about Muslims in the past, saying that he would be uncomfortable if a Muslim served in his Cabinet if he were elected president.

“I’m willing to take a harder look at people that might be terrorists,” Cain said Sunday. “If you look at my career, I have never discriminated against anybody. . . . I’m going to err on the side of caution.”

    Islam is NOT a religion.
At best it is a life encompassing philosphy requiring total obediance and adherence to it’s principles.

The truth is that is is a death worshipping, mysoginstic, pedophile worshipping, torturing, barbaric throwback to a time before civilization.

Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a “religion”, it is a cult, it is its own government, its judicial…is in its sharia, and its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent …and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is an invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.
This is not just a “religion”, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. Its rules are to consume whatever government is wherever it goes. To supplant and replace.
The sooner America learns this, the better.

If nothing else, it is interesting to watch this debate unfold, albeit on the sidelines of so-called mainstream politics. The Muslim issue is the proverbial 800 lb. gorilla in the room that nobody wants to mess with.

Whether he makes it to the finish line or not, Cain has an opportunity to expose the infiltration of Marxist propaganda into the American black community during the 1960′s and ’70′s, which clearly played a role in their radicalization, the result of which we can clearly see with our very own eyes being played out today.

One can only wonder how much Cain is struggling with this issue, or whether he is at all.

I know what Cain means and I agree, but again, really poorly phrased.

We can’t prohibit mosques from being built because we aren’t Muslim. What needs to be stopped is the construction of extranneous mosques, mosques built for the sake of plopping one down but which don’t serve any need except to set up another safe base on enemy soil. When small Muslim communities are serviced by multiple mosques, then something is wrong.

Islam isn’t a religion it’s an political ideology. There is no place for it in the civilized world. Say NO, we don’t accept it as a religion. Ban it from the land.

It is amazing what they have been able to do w/the little community in Brooklyn, literally build their mosque between two homes in a residential area. Look at the influence they have played in Ground Zero. It’s all disgusting.

“Cain, an African-American who grew up during the civil rights era, claimed he was not discriminating against Muslims.”

    ———

Although i understood what he meant, i think Herman needs to adjust his rhetoric to comply with the standard for politics.

May i suggest that whenever he speak about Muslims in the future, he should compare the current situation to an ‘Ideal Muslim’ that he creates himself. He should describe how different the “Islamist” movement is from the “peaceful Muslims” (that may or may not exist…..i’m not sayin’….) that he is aware of.

:-) Just a rhetorical prop for his narrative. The content is good, as-is. If he puts his ideas into a context of their own, his opponents will have a harder time twisting his words to mean something else.

    DavMav,

Christians do believe in Tolerance and Love. Christians also believe in protecting their Families and Neighbors from radical fanatics that believe that all Christians should be dead. I consider myself a Christian, and I have all the Tolerance in the world of even Peaceful Muslims. But when Muslims try to displace God’s Word with the Qur’an, then I have a Problem with it. Remember Islam is also a System of Government as well as a way of life that is totally incompatible with Our American Way of Life. A large portion of Muslims want to see Shariah Law put in Place of American Law. Not just for Muslims, but for all People. How many more Honor Killings must be performed on American Soil must we see before it is determined that Islam is NOT Peaceful? A New York Muslim Beheads his wife because he wants a Divorce. A Ohio Muslim shoots and kills his 2 young daughters 16 and 17 because they started dating and was considered “Too Westernized”. A Woman and her New Muslim Husband sell their 8 year Old girl to one of his Friends in Pakistan via an arranged Marriage (Yes, 8). She runs away from home and hides out with her Uncle (Father’s Brother). The Mom puts the FBI Missing Persons out on her and finds her. The Case is in the Courts right now.

I like the idea that hes apprehensive of Muslims seeing as how Islams teachings are in direct conflict with our cultural and constitutional values.
The hard hurdle with that position is that we do have freedom of religion in this country … congress shall write no law…

I think we’d actally have to go as far as an amendment for him to get away with a lot of what he suggests.
I defended him on the other post relating to this, mentioning how complacent and almost compliant Muslims (the majority of them) seem to be when it comes to reigning in their asshats and the threat they pose of creating states within our states.
I think the best way to deliver the message is for him (should he be elected) to leave the local and domestic issues alone and instead next time these assholes take a shot at us we clean their fricken clocks leaving these piss ass rules of engagement behind.

He has some good ideas about the economy, but beyond that he doesn’t do much for me. Given his history with flipping on banking bailouts and his position at the Federal Reserve, it makes me wonder if he’s on the side of we the people, or the banks. And what about his “I’ll get experts for that” attitude? I want someone who knows what they want going in, and isn’t going to be too busy second guessing his actions or combing over trivial matters with a room filled with yes men.

All that said, I don’t dislike Cain, but I just don’t feel it with him. I’m also not too wild about his foreign policy, either.
