Self-Described Dem CEO Steve Wynn Rips Obama: “He Keeps Making Speeches About Redistribution . . . We Haven’t Heard That Kind of Talk Except From Pure Socialists”

Ouch.

(Business Insider) — Who doesn’t love a good rant?

We certainly do, and as usual, Steve Wynn, the CEO of casino company Wynn Resorts, delivered on his company’s quarterly conference call today.

Via Seeking Alpha, here’s the crux of it:

. . .And I’m saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, and progress and job creation in my lifetime. And I can prove it and I could spend the next 3 hours giving you examples of all of us in this market place that are frightened to death about all the new regulations, our healthcare costs escalate, regulations coming from left and right. A President that seems, that keeps using that word redistribution. Well, my customers and the companies that provide the vitality for the hospitality and restaurant industry, in the United States of America, they are frightened of this administration. And it makes you slow down and not invest your money. Everybody complains about how much money is on the side in America.

The guy keeps making speeches about redistribution and maybe we ought to do something to businesses that don’t invest, their holding too much money. We haven’t heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists. Everybody’s afraid of the government and there’s no need soft peddling it, it’s the truth. It is the truth. And that’s true of Democratic businessman and Republican businessman, and I am a Democratic businessman and I support Harry Reid. I support Democrats and Republicans. And I’m telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President of the United States. And until he’s gone, everybody’s going to be sitting on their thumbs.

    “their holding too much money”

But Obama campaign donors seem to have a lot of extra money to throw around.

Mr Wynn, did you vote for this S.O.B.? You probably did. There was plenty of information about Obama and his socialist/communist leanings before he was elected. So you like Hairy Balls Reid? He likes the idea of wealth redistribution as well dumbass. Pull your head out of your ass and start supporting those who support business. I will give you this, you are absolutly correct in that every business person (small, mediam, and large) are frightened of this President. So are millions of non-business people. We all should be frightened of this lunitic, he’s trying to turn us into the the USSR.

Steve, I seem to remember you going on a rant about Obama before the 2010 election. Yet you still pulled the lever for Harry Reid. You asked for it, you got it.

There is an instinctive conclusion among the American public that President Obama’s stimulus package has failed to create a sustained recovery. Unemployment has increased, not declined; consumers have retrenched; housing starts have crashed along with mortgage applications; and there is a fear that a double-dip recession may very well be in the pipeline….(continued)

It’s amusing to watch the lefties squirm trying to make sense of their vote for Obama. It’s as if their brains are shorting out, like a damaged Stepford Wife. When they are finally painted into the proverbial corner by the Usurper, watch out!

Obama and the powers that control him know this. But they have come too far and spent too much to let it all slip away next year.

My bet is that there will be a “national emergency” before Nov 2012, and a “necessary” suspension of the democratic process.

Tadpole I have those same concerns. Each and every day it’s off the chart what these assholes are doing and no one in so called power is doing a thing to stop them.

  19. Mackie says:

Let’s be honest, Wynn stays with Reid because of what Reid has done and can do for him and other Vegas biggies. No doubt he is trying to play both sides of the same coin when it comes to the Obama/Reid connection. Overall Obama is a disaster for Las Vegas and Nevada overall, and eventually if not already Steve Wynn like other big players in the business world is going to wake up to that fact when interacting with dingy hairy.

These assholes think they can flirt with these statists but only up to a point they like and then hold them in check. Morons. That’s what the military and industrialists thought about Hitler. How do these people make so much money being so stupid? You can’t just dabble with totalitarianism. That goes for Reid, Pelosi, Obama or any fascist with a D in front of their name. They are all the same.

Liberals want to bring the exceptional down to the level of the poor? President Obama and his first two years of virulently anti-capitalist policies have consigned us to an economic depression? Job creators and trillions in capital are fleeing the country in droves leaving us with soon to be permanent double digit unemployment?

Surely you have to be kidding!

When people who have more money than 50% of American working families complain, it tends to sound like a whining elite – Wynn Resorts (WYNN) Q2 2011 Earnings Call July 18, 2011

    Stephen Wynn

Well, usually, we always say the same thing, the numbers speak for themselves. We had a great first quarter, the best in our history. And we went through it — we were just around $400 million in the first quarter. We are $447 million this time, and that quarter was about 59% better than a year ago. And in fact, for the 6 months, we’re 62% better than a year ago. We are all, in this organization, heartened by the results.

On January 3, — excuse me, on July 3, I got a phone call. I was in a different city from my colleague, Marc Schorr, and he told me that on the third day of July, we equaled in Las Vegas, our cash flow, our profits of the entire year of 2010. That was a very supercharged thing to hear, but we did $271 million last year and we hit $271 million on the third of July. So for the balance of the year, everything from here on in, in Las Vegas is improvement. And we benefited from a very favorable whole percentage.

C’mon Steve. I know you have to stay in good with the unions. I have listened to your interviews on Cavoto. But you can’t have both ways. Reid is toxic to Nevada and the rest of the 57 states. Quit supporting him and the communist in the WH and try to educate your workers about what is really going on. I’ll be in Vegas next week so give me a call if you want some advice.
