Harry Reid: Cut, Cap And Balance “Some Of The Worst Legislation In The History Of This Country”…

You think Dingy even remembers he once supported a balanced budget amendment? I have my doubts.

(RCP) — “If they [Republicans] want to debate it tomorrow for a period of time, they can do that, but I’m going to — I think this piece of legislation is about as weak and senseless as anything that has ever come on this Senate floor, and I am not going to waste the Senate’s time day after day on this piece of legislation which I think is an anathema to what our country is all about. So everyone understand, we’re going to have a vote tomorrow. I’m not going to wait until Saturday. We’re going to have a vote tomorrow. I feel confident that this legislation will be disposed of one way or the other. The American people should understand that this is a bad piece of legislation. Perhaps some of the worst legislation in the history of this country,” Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) said on the Senate floor.

“You think Dingy even remembers he once supported a balanced budget amendment?”

The balanced budget amendment required by cut, cap, and balance would not just force the government to balance budgets, but it goes farther, making it nearly impossible to raise taxes or spend more than 18% of GDP. To equate this with a balance budget amendment that simply requires balanced budgets, without putting those extra restraints, is dishonest, methinks. You may do a good job, however, of putting the wool over people’s eyes about what it all entails.

This would seem to be a superb chance for Republican senators to take the floor, one after the other after another, for as many hours as Dingy will allow, and make the case that 1) *something* must be done to rein in out-of-control spending; 2) unlike the cowardly Democrats, who haven’t even submitted a budget in two years, Republicans in the House of Representatives have done so; and 3) if senate Dems vote this plan down, the ENTIRE responsibility for any bad future results is on their shoulders; and that the Republicans will remind voters ad infinitum that senate Dems voted to kill the only plan on the table.

Fuck the twisted, power-mad Democrats in the senate. And the White House. They have eagerly, knowingly summoned the whirlwind. I hope they’re all fully conscious when it destroys them.

    ———

Excuse me, Harry. That’s an opinion, not an argument.

WHY is it the worst legislation in the history of the world? Is it destructive to the United States of America, or only destructive to the Democratic party?

    Exactly how is it destructive?

Me thinks you are a fucking idiot! What the heck (FUCK) is wrong with tying it to 18% of GDP? Before the obumbler, GDP used to go up every year!

And nobody is “putting the wool” over anybodys eyes. But you a$$hole demoncraps are trying to “pull the wool” over the publics eyes.

I guess the bill doesn’t go far enough to ruin this country even more than the Dems have already. I remember hearing someone on a radio talk show once that said they knew Reid way back when and that they called him “Pinky” because he was a ‘pinko’ Commy way back then.

“WHY is it the worst legislation in the history of the world? Is it destructive to the United States of America, or only destructive to the Democratic party?”

Good one. Any idiot knows you can only have so much debt, and if that credit debt is used to pay off past obligations, you’re really in trouble. Non-sustaining. The new budgets put forth are harmful to the Dems/Libs, no doubt about it, and the only one that the O one is even learning toward is the one his Cabinet of Six put forth, based on his input. Gives him carte blanche for further debt, and death to America. Headlines are full of European mony woes every day. Our dumb leaders don’t get it yet, or they’re so heavily invested they can’t help but help themselves. Sickening. Out with ALL of them!

I’d like to see a debt default just to see which Congress cretins would be killed by those they owe so much to.

I remember years ago, Reid occasionally did interviews with Sean Hannity. He came across as moderate, maybe tilting more to the left than the right, but he did not strike me as raving partisan lunatic. However, elected office is like the expiration date on a carton milk. It’s okay for little a while after the date; it might taste a little “off” but it is still edible. Then overnight it turns sour and rancid and the mere odor will make you wretch. I’m afraid Harry passed his expiration date long, long ago.

Captain MilkToast is mumbling his indignations yet again. I can’t decide if he or Chuckie Schumer is the biggest pussy in all of Congress…It’s a toss-up, or maybe a tossed salad. Face it Dems – You thought you had the country by the balls and would then pile on with your personal giant block of instantly legalized illegal aliens to vote Democrats into office for as far as the eye could see, but you blew it by trying to steamroll the citizens with your bullshit health plan and other travesties of legislation. Then last November the voters rose up and told you to stick it up your bony little ass! Haaahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Fuck you Harry, and the whores you rode in on. Now the shrew Pelosi and you are walking around with sore red assholes and you can’t cram any more legislation down our throats. You liberal putzes are HISTORY!
