Texas Congressman: Obama Administration Still Banning Prayers During Funerals For Veterans…
The Humanist-in-Chief wouldn’t have it any other way.
(Fox News Radio) — A Texas lawmaker is calling for a Congressional investigation of the Houston National Cemetery after he went undercover and determined that cemetery officials are still preventing Christian prayers at the funerals of military veterans.
“The Obama administration continues to try to prevent the word ‘God’ from being used at the funerals of our heroes,” said. Rep. John Culberson (R-TX). “It’s unacceptable and I’m going to put a stop to it as fast as humanly possible.”
Culberson told Fox News Radio he attended a burial service at the cemetery under cover on July 8 where he said volunteer members of the honor guard from the Veterans of Foreign Wars were prohibited from using any references to God.
“The Obama administration had told the nation and me they were not interfering with the prayer said over the graves of veterans,” he said. “And I went undercover to personally verify that claim.”
V.A. officials have strongly denied they’ve banned any religious speech — and have offered support for Arleen Ocasio, the cemetery’s director.

What will they do arrest them? File charges like the Texas woman fighting the Judge? Whatever happened to freedom of religion, speech, the majority rules? I would guess that minimum 90% of the funerals want God, Jesus, prayer included in the funeral services, even if they weren’t particularly religious while alive. It should be the reverse, if you don’t want religious references then you request it, not the other way around. No doubt if it was a muzzie allah would be allowed. This shit has got to stop!

This is either punishment to get even with Rick Perry by Obama for some imagined slight, or a site test to gauge how much flack they get…..either way, may God have mercy on their souls – because the American people are fed up with this usurpation of all things decent and holy to them.
Before any military buriels, I know firsthand they ask you if the deceased was religious and if so, which religion did they belong? They are prepared for any type service. The volunteers at these cemeteries are God’s angels. They comfort the families and, even if no one is in attendance, show the deceased the dignity and compassion of a grateful nation for their service.

Where i live veterans can obtain a special commemorative headstone. Generally they are buried in ordinary graveyards -families buy the plot.
there are corners where cremated ashes are all together as Veterans if one wishes.
The actual funeral services can be held anywhere & are private .
So God aside perhaps its ime to take way the bureaucrat power.
After all -who wants the govt to look after them in death. ?

Remember when John Kerry used promote “General Shinseki” as the great military strategist who opposed Bush in Iraq? Well Fellow-traveler Obama appointed General Eric Shinseki to head up Veteran’s Affairs. And since there is no information in his bio on religion or personal life, don’t expect the Constitution or tradition to get in his way.
I dont understand: the Feds even gave an” islamic proper burial” to OBL (although at sea is apparently a no-no according to the demented mullahs). And we can’t even pray to Jesus at a military burial in a national cemetery?
Guess I’ll stick to my plan: be buried in a Texas veterans cemetery!
