Dingy Harry on Boehner’s plan: “Every Democratic senator will vote against it”
There is only one way to negotiate with these children, which is a point the Republicans do not grasp.
(POLITICO) — Majority Leader Harry Reid announced Wednesday that no Democrat in the Senate would vote for Speaker John Boehner’s debt-ceiling plan should it pass the House, where it’s come under fire from conservatives groups and tea-party lawmakers for not going far enough to cut spending.
The plan is a “big, wet kiss to the right wing,” Reid said at a packed Capitol Hill news conference.
Democratic leaders also signaled that a final deal will have to be worked out behind closed doors between leaders of the two parties, while Senate Republicans weighed whether to mount a filibuster against Reid’s rival proposal if it becomes the last option on the table to avert a catastrophic default before Tuesday’s deadline.
Seeking to exploit fissures in Boehner’s caucus, Democrats repeatedly called on the Ohio Republican to scrap his plan to cut the deficit and hike the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt limit in two phases by next year. Reid’s plan would also slice the deficit but would raise the government’s borrowing limit through the 2012 elections.
“At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if Speaker Boehner’s bill passes or fails. The way to resolve this crisis is to ignore the extremists and meet in the middle of the road,” Reid said. Boehner’s plan “is not a solution. It will not pass. Every Democratic senator will vote against it.”

One person…just one person…needs to ask this dumb f*ck this question: Tell the American people how you are going to prevent our children and grandchildren from crushing, unsustainable and insurmountable debt? Then let’s hear his answer. Let’s hear him account for the trillions in added debt we’ve accumulated under Obama and how it is now built into the baseline budget forevermore. And then let’s hear how that will add another 10-15 trillion to the debt in 10 years, as we run $1.5 trillion deficits as far as the eye can see.
So tell us, Dingy, how do you explain to the American people what you are doing to them and their children?

Time to call his office and raise hell. Shut down his offices w/calls, faxes, email. It is sickening to me how he got away w/”winning” the last election.
I guess we see how Demoncrats “compromise” now. So in keeping with the spirit of the occasion, ram CCB up their asses until they either yell “Calf Rope” or vote Yes.
It’s not Boehner’s plan. It’s THE ONLY plan.

To which I will add: start saying on every media outlet available that there is a plan that has passed the House, that Harry Reid will not bring up for a vote.

It’s not like Democrats read bills anyway, they just vote on how it makes them feel.
Perhaps the best we are going to be able to hope for is the keep pressure on the $$$ tourniquet until 2012… Its almost like they forgot bout all those checks and balances stuff. Well, Obama had a good run while it lasted.
Just kidding, it all sucked. Imagine the damage he might have done if we not in this recession. Marxism is fun to watch when the tide is out.

Play the game. Let the government hit the debt ceiling. They are still bringing in funds, they just wont be able to borrow any more. This will kill two birds with one stone. Cut spending, and make the suntanned Chicago Jesus look like the turd that he is.

Come on harry. Why does this have to be about party? Why cant this serious issue be centered around Americans? All Americans, not just your rich friends, not just the Unions, not just Fed Employees, and fine congressional pensions. Not just about positioning in order to get re-elected. Cut/cap/balance was acceptable to even democrats which is why you refused to even vote on it.

My thoughts – Simple House/GOP solution … Double the terms of the CCB (it has passed the house once) and send it back to the Senate and WH. Every time it fails double it again.
The “no planners” will only wish for the original back. Don’t let that happen. The backup baseline room for negotiations is 25% of the last one sent.
The cry is “no substance”. Well this would be a good start. Let the screams of indignation begin.

It’s all worked out in DC, trust me. All the players know it. It’s a game. The funds are coming in, SS will still be paid, Barry will be allowed to borrow more (much more than any negotiations would have brought about), fake cuts will be made, even faker cuts will be presented, and the Congress can keep increasing their already 3,669% increase in their assets for this year.
WAKE UP, AMERICA. They’re screwing us hourly and …. we feel stressed!??? It’s a game!! Think!!!
