Obama Regime Will Announce Which Bills Will Be Paid, Which Won’t, After Market Closes Friday…

(ABC News) — If there is no clear path out of this morass by tomorrow, sources say that administration officials will likely brief the public on how the Treasury Department will try to handle the bills Congress mandates that the government pay given a situation where Congress has not given them a way to do so.
Look for that briefing to come no earlier than Friday after the markets close at 4 p.m. ET, sources say.
Officials are most concerned about paying the interest on the existing debt, since failure to do so would result in default and almost certain immediate market panic, as well as questions about how Treasury would be able to roll over a pre-existing $87 billion in debt that comes due next week.
After that — a list of priorities, not all of which that can be met. Social Security checks? Medicare? Government workers? Pentagon contractors? Troops’ salaries? The FBI?
Vice President Joe Biden and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have been talking privately about a possible way forward should Boehner’s bill fail in the Senate, which seems likely, according to sources familiar with the talks.

Paying off debt is easy and automatic. Just sell new debt to replace the old. The debt ceiling is automatically unaffected. Where you had an old bond, you now instead have a new one of equal value.

People on Social Security have families and when their family members die, because Obama didn’t pay them their Social Security, I want to think that some of these family members will care enough to exact consequences for Obama and the rest.
Hubby and I were talking about this just this morning. There are so many things they could do. There are so many federal programs that could have their funding cut by say, 5% and it would make little difference in their daily operations, but save money across the board. Nope, we go straight to holding Grandma and Grandpa and vets hostage.
And how about that foreign aid, anyway? Although I suspect in the case of Pakistan, it’s really jizya. Is the only thing that can buy diplomacy with other nations cold, hard cash that we’ve borrowed from other nations? That alone would make me very, very reluctant to lend money to the US, if we’re just going to turn around and give it to another country, the ideologies and actions of which may not be compatible with or acceptable to the country which originally lent us the money. How DO China and Pakistan get along these days?
What is wrong with getting our own house in order before we play Lady Bountiful to the rest of the world? I mean, I don’t go to the bank and borrow money so that I can then turn around and donate money to my favorite charity; I budget and donate what I can afford out of what I’ve made. Of course, the government has no money of its own, only what it can borrow from other nations, and forcefully extract from citizens. So the concept of a personal budget might be a little off their radar.
The Republicans should now put forward a law that if the social security is not paid the USPS should be laid off at the same time. I’d love to see a million union workers on his ass.
