And it’s preposterous to say that Carney has more than three functioning brain cells.
“This is a lot of money here. This is a lot of savings. A lot of deep and substantial cuts. There is no upfront revenue in Senator Reid’s proposal. It is just simply preposterous to suggest that it is not, does not represent an effort to come halfway towards the Republicans,” Jay Carney said at his Friday briefing.

What exactly is that. I’ve seen nothing written down. It looks like a sketch and hand waving but nothing definite in writing, i.e. a formal plan. Am I wrong? Has anyone seen a formal proposal/bill on the level that the House Republicans have put out from the Democrats? If so, please pass the link along.
The only thing that I know is a very substantial raising of the debt ceiling, in exchange for savings that are effected mostly by the presumed drawdown of the Afghan and Iraq wars, and a budget “deemed” passed by the Senate for the next two years. Just more of the same ole’.
