Gallup Poll: Tea Party Movement As Large As Nation’s Entire Liberal Population…
Oh noes, the country has been overrun by terrorists!
(CNS News) — The percentage of Americans who expressly state that they are supporters of the Tea Party movement is currently about as large at 22 percent of the population as the 21 percent who say they are liberals, according to recent but separate Gallup polls.
Meanwhile, at 41 percent of the population, according to Gallup, self-described conservatives outnumber both Tea Party movement supporters and liberals by nearly 2-to-1.
In separate polls done on July 27 and August 2, 23 and 22 percent of respondents told Gallup they considered themselves supporters of the Tea Party movement. These polls (each of which was conducted in one day) had a margin of error of +/-4 points, and Gallup warned that polls conducted in one day “are subject to additional error or bias not found in polls conducted over several days.”
In fact, the July 27 and August 2 polls showed a considerably smaller percentage of Americans saying they were Tea Party supporters than previous Gallup polls conducted over three- and four-day periods.
For example, a Gallup survey conducted April 20–23 of this year, found that 30 percent of Americans described themselves as Tea Party supporters. Similarly, a Gallup poll conducted Jan. 14-16 of this year also found that 30 percent of Americans described themselves as Tea Party supporters.

while there are many independents like me who don’t consider myself a tea partier but identify more with the tea party than the lunatic commie liberals, then the numbers for those who support the limited fiscal govt views of the tea party movement are probably closer to 40-50%

First I salute someone who actually saw the light. But the Tea Party stands for more than a return to limited government and fiscal responsibility. It stands for a return to the Constitution which has been hammered under the Impostor-In -Chief and his brand of social communism.
One doesn’t have to apologize for agreeing with the Tea Party just because the MSM decides they are “The devil incarnate”. It’s time for Americans to open their eyes if we are to survive as a nation.

Most of us serious minded people tend to be overlooked by the boisterous game players we call liberals. To me they are criminals. The real doers in this country are growers. In other words, we don’t flaunt our skills. Liberals(criminals) walk around over inflated, thus giving the impression of a big stick.
Tea Party Patriots are “growers”. We put it out when it counts!

The Tea Party is the silent majority that isn’t silent anymore and the RINO’s and Libtards can’t stand it.
I think the percentage is higher because a lot of people may not declare themselves as Tea Partiers but they believe as the Tea Party believes and they are sick of Washington so they won’t be voting democrat or RINO. I hope and pray the RINO’s will soon be a thing of the past.
