Gallup: Obama Job Approval Hits 39% — Confirmed: This Is O’s First Time Below 40

(LA Times) — President Obama‘s summer woes have dragged his approval rating to an all-time low, sinking below 40% for the first time in Gallup’s daily tracking poll.
New data posted Sunday shows that 39% of Americans approve of Obama’s job performance, while 54% disapprove. Both are the worst numbers of his presidency.
Obama’s approval rating has hovered in the 40% range for much of 2011, peaking at 53% in the weeks following the death of Osama bin Laden.
But Americans’ view of his job performance continued to tick downward as the debt-ceiling debate heated up. By the time he signed legislation averting a federal default, he was mired in the low-40% range.
The polling setback comes as the Republican race to unseat him has kicked into overdrive. The past week has been dominated by the activity in Iowa ahead of the Ames Straw Poll, and the entrance of a new contender in Texas Gov. Rick Perry. The candidates have routinely assailed Obama’s leadership in appealing to conservative activists who dominate this stage of the nominating contest.
Obama is set to launch something of a counter-offensive on Monday with a three-day bus tour of the Midwest, a trip that includes two stops in Iowa. The White House denied that the itinerary was politically motivated, however.
The three-day tracking poll was conducted from Aug. 11–13.

Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston ), reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names.
She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaquille, and Jamal. I am NOT making this up!
She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in ‘language’ that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was, that black people couldn’t understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report.
I guess if the weather person says that the winds are going to blow at 140+ MPH, that’s too hard to understand.

These polls are pretty early and I truly hope it holds, but if there was ever a group of lug nuts that could screw up a free lunch it’s the GOP. If they don’t tear each other apart and piss away all their money…. If the fools don’t waste money and valueable time when they have as much chance as my cat….If they stick to attacking the POTUS and not each other…maybe, just maybe we can overcome the fraud and rabid stupidity of the left and PRAVDA giving him top cover.

I guess there’s a limit to how far Gallup will go to skew the poll group to prop up Obama. If Obama is polling at 33 percent favorable for independents, there is no way for him to be close to 40 percent in the polls, unless dems are given a fist on the scale.
