RINO Huntsman: “Call me crazy,” I believe in evolution, global warming

How about if we just call you “Crazy, unelectable, and officially out of the race”?

(The Hill) — Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman took to Twitter Thursday to offer his support for evolution.

Huntsman made the tweet shortly after Texas Gov. Rick Perry offered comments that cast doubt on evolution — his comments can be interpreted as criticism of Perry.

“To be clear. I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy,” tweeted Huntsman, the former ambassador to China.

Perry has also raised questions about whether humans are contributing to global warming.

Huntsman’s tweet will raise questions about whether he has the conservative bona fides to win the Republican presidential nomination. Huntsman has carved out a niche in the primary fight as a centrist, but it is unclear whether GOP voters are looking for that in a candidate this year.

um, who exactly is he trying to get as his base? Of course people believe in evolution, and as for global warming, dude, I’m a recovering demonrat, even I don’t believe that nonsense anymore, especially when all the evidence came out about how the data was manipulated, at best its all up in the air, and no major policy that hurts the ecnomy, like cap-n-tax, should be implemented.

I believe in global warming! I also believe in global cooling. Where I live was once covered by a mile of ice (global cooling). It melted (global warming). Maybe it was caused by woolly mammoth farts, bur I am not sure if the farts caused the warming or the cooling.

“I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming.”

    ———–

I have no faith in science. (Faith isn’t required in science.)

    - Evolution is called a “theory” for good reason. It’s unverifiable according to the scientific method. (We need to invent a time machine for that.)

    - The “scientific consensus” on global warming is a logical fallacy. Scientific facts are not determined by consensus.

Using the scientific method, the most logical conclusion we could draw from the Global Warming debate is that the methodology was completely uncontrolled. It’s contaminated beyond any point at which we could even make an educated guess.

A purely political assessment of the experience would likely conclude that the claims were largely driven by widespread fraud.

If he won the nomination Obama would be sure to be defeated, since he’s in the prospect of being tossed under the bus anyway. The Dems would rally around their man ‘Huntsman’ and the weak willed GOP could be happy too. Everyone wins, except America.

The puff piece in Vogue (!) about Huntsman is filled with unintentional hilarity:

    http://www.vogue.com/magazine/article/jon-huntsman-the-outsider/

“Jon and his wife, Mary Kaye, are a strikingly attractive couple. For this morning’s photo-op, they’re receiving the endorsement of the late governor Carroll Campbell’s family. She is wearing a short-sleeved Carolina Herrera dress that picks up the piercing blue of her eyes. With his tanned face and salt-and-pepper hair, he looks so good in checked shirts and denim jackets that The Wall Street Journal recently compared the launch of his campaign to a Ralph Lauren product rollout.”

    etc.

There is evidence of several ice ages, and also other changes in the weather, however there is no conclusive evidence as to what caused the changes in the weather. There are only theories…. There are atleast five totally unique groups of humans. The asian group is probably more readily associated with some prehistoric species. It is hard to follow this kind of information because different governments did not want to acknowledge they were wrong about their religious beliefs and have censored such information. Many governments were based upon fanatical religious convictions. Religion has been real bad for this country.

Over the past 400,000 years, there have been 4 “temperate” periods (including the one we’re currently in). They last about 10 – 20 thousand years each, and we’re about 15,000 into this one. The rest of the time, climate has been “glaciation”
    The take aways?
    1) what we think of as ‘normal’ is a 20% (or so) ABnormality
    2) We’re due for another glaciation, any time (well, possibly not for another 5,000 years, or so, but it’s coming)

I don’t care what you believe or don’t believe, Huntsman. The facts aren’t for you to determine.

Evolution is obviously true based on the extremely vast fossil record and genetic markers of living species to the point where even the Catholic Church endorses it. Whether you choose to accept the evidence or not has practically no bearing on whether you will defend American interests. Can’t support you there, Huntsman.

Global warming is a heavily politicized scare tactic to modify people’s behavior based on some vaguely suggestive data. Unlike the study of evolution, global warming researchers seem to attract significant breaches of scientific honesty, and the most vocal advocate for the hypothesis is a politician. Are you going to support that agenda? Then I can’t support you, Huntsman
