Ron Paul Supporter Accuses Rick Perry Of Having Extramarital Affairs With Strippers And Being Gay, Runs Full-Page Ad Seeking Dirt…

Pathetic.

(Salon) — An Austin Ron Paul supporter has taken out a full-page ad in the local alt weekly newspaper seeking any “stripper . . . escort . . . or ‘young hottie’” who has slept with Rick Perry, part of his single-minded jihad against the presidential candidate.

Robert Morrow describes himself as a “self-employed investor and political activist” as well as a three-time delegate to the Texas state GOP convention.

“Have you ever had sex with Rick Perry?” blares the ad, placed by Morrow in this week’s Austin Chronicle. “Are you a stripper, an escort, or just a ‘young hottie’ impressed by an arrogant, entitled governor of Texas? Contact CASH, and we will help you publicize your direct dealings with a Christian-buzzwords-spouting, ‘family values’ hypocrite and fraud.”

CASH is the Committee Against Sexual Hypocrisy, of which Morrow is president. “Is it a real group? No. It’s just me,” he told Salon earlier this week. Here is the ad, which the paper confirmed is running today.

To be clear, there is absolutely no evidence that Perry has had extramarital affairs. But Morrow has written a screed, currently circulating online, that denounces Perry both for his policies (it labels him a “crony capitalist” and a “Neocon”) as well as his alleged dalliances.

Morrow claims that he knows strippers in Austin who have stories about Perry, but none of them are willing to come forward to the press; hence, the need for an ad in the Chronicle. “I think it’s only a matter of time until somebody credible comes forward,” he told me.

At the bottom of the ad is a nod to the longtime (and equally unsubstantiated) rumors that Perry, who has pursued sundry anti-gay policies, is himself gay. “Note to gay people: If you know the truth about Rick, please QUIT covering for him,” it reads.

The Chronicle itself looked into the infidelity/gay rumors in 2004, calling them “extraordinary in their baroque detail and remarkable persistence.” It found “no evidence of any truth to any of them, whatsoever.” Just this past June, Politico reported that Perry’s organization was “more than prepared” for a re-airing of the gay rumors. His spokesman said that Perry and his wife, Anita, “have been lovingly married since 1982 and are parents to two grown children.”

If Robert Morrow is a Ron Paul supporter, then shouldn’t he lean Libertarian?

So where is all this ‘morality’ crap coming from? He sounds more like a Progressive than a Libertarian.

“C.A.S.H.”? Really? That again sounds more Progressive than Libertarian.

This could be the end of Ron Paul, regardless if it was a supporter. Are those grounds for suit?

Actually, I’ve not ever run across a guy that goes to see strippers and is gay. Gays are classier than that. But, a Ron Paul supporter knows all about them….. ;)

On a previous thread I said that the Paulbots tactics were almost as bad as the Left’s. I take that back. They are as bad!

They spread stories of everything from A to Z all over the internet. They’ve even built sites for the sole purpose of disseminating misinformation.

And it’s not just about Perry. Palin, Bachman, Cain and Romney have also been targets, but nothing like the focus they have on Perry.

Washington Post: What do you think about the issues of prostitution and marijuana. Where do you come down on that?

Ron Paul: Well, I understand prostitution has been around for a few years. And they tried to legislate it out of existence and I don’t think it’s worked very well. I would essentially have no restrictions, certainly on the federal level. And marijuana – I think it’s tragic what’s happening today in the drug war. Since the early ’70s we’ve spent maybe $200 to $300 billion on the drug war. That’s not been any good. This whole effort on the drug war doesn’t make any sense at all to me.

  64. Dutchman says:

    @Aeroman

The United States spent $40,000,000- on the Star Investigation just to find out that Clinton engaged in consensual, completely legal sex with an ambitious tart (big deal). And with that kind of money behind him, I’m sure Ken Star didn’t need to take out any full page ads.

My point is that Liberals really don’t think that what people do consensually, in the privacy of their own homes is a matter of public morals, whereas Conservatives (who are always howling about having less government and fewer regulations when it comes to pollution or consumer safety or financial fraud) who seem to think that a person’s private life ought to be a matter of public record, never seem to look for deviations in their own ranks. Barney Frank (who ought to know) says there are five or seven closeted homosexual Republicans in the House and at least three senators (probably McConnell, Graham and Craig). Everyone knows that Grover Norquist has a beard and two adopted children, yet he’s still at the very center of the action. Ed Schrock, Mark Foley (F-FL), David Dreier (R-CA), and James McCrery R-LA) are pretty obvious too, but — where’s the Republican indignation? We’ve had some speculation about ex-high school wrestling coach Denny Hastert but the male prostitute who says he had sex with him was too embarrassed to be publicly identified. And people are pretty suspicious, for good reason, about Patrick McNutcase (R-NC).

So, shouldn’t the Right Wing clean their own house? After all, they’re the ones so obsessed with what kind of fun other people are having.

Ditto to what Aeroman said. The real problem for Clinton came when he wagged his finger in the face of Americans and said, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” and then testified to that UNDER OATH. That is called PERJURY, not a white lie, and it is an impeachable offense. Had Clinton said, “I was weak and I apologize to the American people, my wife and Ms. Lewinsky for my bad behavior” then he wouldn’t have perjured himself and the whole controversy would have died down sooner.

Oh, and evangelicals are very forgiving when people are honest and open about their shortcomings.

“Let him without is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” John 8:7

“For if you forgive men their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.” Matthew 6:14-15

“If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him; and if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times saying ‘I repent’, forgive him.” Luke 17:3-4

“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received it, and they shall be granted to you. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions.” Mark 11:24-26

Didn’t know Clinton owned the White House. Perhaps we could have saved that $40,000,000 if your boy had the balls to just admit what he did up front. I for one could care less where the COC puts his tool. But I do expect him or her to be honest. But honesty is just not progressive enough a concept for you Libs….

Uh Sure, you’re a moron. There are countless examples of everything said about the King Paulnut being true, and you just refuse to look at it, or you’re deluded enough to say everybody’s lying, but you and him.

This is precisely why I will have nothing to do with paulnuts. They’re unreasonable, liars and have no purpose other than to attack Conservatism by claiming to be Conservatives, themselves, when they’re anything BUT. Have fun in La-La Land, paulnut.

I guess what it all boils down to is that Liberals want to limit private economic power, while Conservatives want to limit private lives.

Clinton lied because what he did in private wasn’t any of Ken Star’s business. It’s perfectly legal to be a screw around, we all suspected it before he was elected, and if Hillary will put up with it, then it’s a PRIVATE matter that is none of our business.

And are then any creditable reports that Obama has been anything but a faithful husband? With so many people out there who HATE him, don’t you think that something solid would have shown up by now? I don’t know him, but my lawyer had him as a professor for several classes in law school, a business associate’s daughter spent several years in the same schoolrooms as Malia, and I know a lot of his neighbors in Hyde Park and NONE of them think he is anything but a good husband. So where do you GET this stuff?

It’s Conservatives, not Liberals who care what a man does in his own free time. It makes no difference if he’s chaste or dissolute, Rick Perry was a lousy governor, and would make a lousy president. He’s anti-working-class, bad for the environment, and shows every sign of being eager for more imperialistic adventuring.

I just think all of this “concern” that conservative profess to have about “personal morals” is, at the end of the day, secondary. Supposing, for instance, that it were to be proven that Obama was an ideal father and husband and that Rick Perry indulged in viagra and cocaine fueled binges with bimbos, do you really think that many of these self-identified “social conservatives” would vote for Obama? Of course not, they’d vote the ISSUES.

Actually, adultery is illegal in alot of states, and so is lying in court.
AND, why is it when a democrat does something, its PRIVATE, but yet how much CEOs, Wall Street execs, Saraha Palin, Walmart, etc. make is suddenly public business?
    Hypocrisy is an ugly thing.
What people do in their free time dictates who they are.
If someone is “in viagra and cocaine fueled binges with bimbos” do you think they are the type of person that should be making laws that affect others lives? Making decisions that can change the shape of our country and future??
    Think about it.
And the only reason (Im sure) nothing has come up about Obamas past is that he has spent MANY millions covering his past up, from kindergarten all the way past college.
And FYI, he is only HATED because of his policies and actions towards the country he is supposed to be leading.

Technically, you are right, perjury is a crime, but I think you will have to admit that lying about a trivial dalliance is not nearly as bad as lying to the United Nations, Congress, and the American public in order to start a war. So Clinton got a few BJ’s: big deal. 4,475 American lives wasted in Irak: kind of a big deal?

In this society MONEY = POWER so money, who has it, who gets to use it, is never really private. The fact of the matter is that over the last forty years there has been a tremendous shift on money from the working classes who actually make and do things to the top 1% of the population. Wages are down at least 17% since 1972 and the gap between rich and poor is greater now than at any time since 1929.

You know what? Some things about a person’s private life DO tell you about their character. Like — what kind of parent they are. Obama’s kids seem pretty well adjusted, Chelsea Clinton has a degree from Oxford, while the Bush Girls are a pair of partying bimbos and, well, then there’s Bristol Palin, the unwed mother herself. How you raise your kids actually affects society, what you do in your bedroom mostly doesn’t.

“MANY millions covering his past up, from kindergarten all the way past college?” You want to tell me who was paying those millions when he was in kindergarten, college, law school, or when he was a professor? No one was covering his tracks then, which pretty much shows that he lead a pretty ordinary, uneventful life. Now that he’s famous of course there are MANY millions trying to uncover imagined scandals in his past. And what have they found? Nothing, really.

Of course people say they “hate Obama because of his policies and actions towards the country he is supposed to be leading,” but he really hasn’t changed many of Bush’s policies. The bail-outs began under Bush, the wars began under Bush, the Bush tax-giveaways to the rich are still in place. “Obamacare” really isn’t his, since it was Mitt Romney’s plan in the first place and then it was proposed by the Congressional leadership, not Obama. The only real difference you can point to is that while Bush said he was pro-life (and then didn’t do anything about it), Obama is unhypocritical about being pro-choice.

And don’t try calling Obama a “socialist.” I’m a socialist, I know what a socialist is, Obama is just Bush-lite. You won’t get single-payer healthcare, a living minimum wage, or genuinely progressive taxation out of Obama. He’s never even proposed any of those things.

The simple fact is, most people who hate Obama are racist. My wife volunteered for Obama’s campaign. She made calls, answered the phones, canvassed door-to-door and she saw it. She saw just how much virulent racism there still is in this country and it sickened her. Now, I’m not saying that everyone who OPPOSES Obama is a racist, far from it, but I will say that most people who HATE him are racist, and that EVERY racist hates him.

    Hey Dutchman,

If you voted for Obama in ’08 to prove you aren’t a racist, you will have to vote for someone else in ’12 to prove you’re not an idiot.

When 97% of the “black community” voted for Obama, we found out who the racists are in this country.

  86. Dutchman says:

“If you voted for Obama in ’08 to prove you aren’t a racist…”

Didn’t really need to do that. Back when he ran against Alan Keyes (and they were both black, so race wasn’t an issue) I voted for Obama. Keyes was all right on social issues, but I always vote the economy and in that department he’s a nut-case.

“…you will have to vote for someone else in ’12 to prove you’re not an idiot.”

I’ll admit that I’m dissappointed. I voted for an end to imperialism and for socialized medicine and got neither. Of course, McCain would have been worse on both counts, but I’m still not happy.

“When 97% of the “black community” voted for Obama, we found out who the racists are in this country.”

When Al Smith, the first Catholic candidate for president, ran in 1928 he carried a similar percentage of the Catholic vote. Did that prove that Catholics were religious bigots? Of course not! It just shows that the first time a member of any outsider group runs for national office they will poll exceptionally high with that group. Given that the black vote went for Kerry by an overwhelming 88%, a rise of only 9% represents a relatively small “bounce” due to the first time chance to vote for a black candidate.
