Sad: Lefty Mom Uses Child To Ambush Rick Perry, “Ask Him Why He Doesn’t Believe In Science”…

Douche.

Via Politico:

An ABC camera catches a well-coached child asking Rick Perry how old the earth is.

This is a trap: His mother, who can be heard on camera coaching him, is obviously hoping he’ll cite some specific, Biblical figure. Instead, Perry gives what sounds like a secular answer, with no reference to biblical certainty:

“I don’t have any idea. I know it’s pretty old. It goes back a long long way,” Perry says. “I’m not sure anybody knows completely and absolutely. . . .”

The kid’s next question is on evolution:

“It’s a theory that is out there and it’s got some gaps in it. In Texas we teach both creationism and evolution in the public schools,” he said.

The mother can then be heard saying, “Ask him why he doesn’t believe in science,” but at this point Perry has figured it out and moves on.

First, “believe in science” is a religious question.

Second, evolution isn’t a theory. Sorry, it isn’t. It’s a paradigm, a language but there’s no there there. There are no Darwin’s Equations. You cannot predict which species can survive and which can’t. Can’t be done. At best, you predict the past.

Third, even physics, the most “know what the hell they’re doing” science, doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing. The basic theories are always changing.

    Fourth, Piltdown Man.

    Pilt. Down. Man.

”Ask him why he doesn’t believe in science”

    ———-

Unless you are a proponent of theory of ‘Anthropogenic Global Warming’, Science doesn’t require faith.

You cannot compare a subjective idea to an objective idea. The context is different.

    Science is a religion.
It has its own gods; scientists.
It has its own creation myth; evolution.
It has its own way of “explaining” the unexplainable; scientific theory.
It even has its own afterlife model; the continuation of an individual through genetic material passed on.

If you really think about it, what that woman is saying to Perry is, “Don’t believe in your religion. You must believe in my religion!” Typical leftist thinking….. I am open minded and diverse as long as you believe in exactly what I believe in.

Science said asbestos was great and the gov’t forced builders to install in buildings. Then it was found to be bad and the gov’t punished everyone who used it, allowed for lawsuits and it costs a great deal to take it out.
Science is constantly saying what foods are good, then they are bad and so forth. Science is not exact, if it were exact it would not change which it has and continues to do – honest science allows for re-testing and re-thinking and re-questioning – otherwise it is just dogma. At one time the atom was the smallest building block of matter but not anymore. So how can you believe in theories as absolutes? Climate change more than likely is caused by the sun and the change in the earth’s magnetic field allowing for more sun rays to enter (which the MSM ignore) and could cause massive flooding and so forth. Even a pole shift. This is far more likely than the ponzi scheme of making money off of punishing those who use carbon based fuels.

Science militates against evolution. Argue you all you want, evolution is impossible. Don’t believe that? Study “systems integration” – in ANY field, then get back to me.

Always funny to me that the same people who shout “science” to “prove” evolution are the same dolts that claim global warming is real.

Libs are retarded. Doesn’t matter what you say to them or what the facts say to them – they believe what they want to believe, usually justified by how they “feel” rather than what they “think”. The fact that most libs don’t actually think is beside the point.

    “Science is a religion.”

    ————-

I don’t believe that what the left practices is Science……no matter how much they claim it is. The scientific method requires that all result be reproducible by a third party.

Progressivism doesn’t qualify. ‘Hope and Change’ cannot be measured. The “greater good” principle of the left is far more oppressive than any evangelical could ever hope to be.

The left is a cult-like following of a speculative idea. It isn’t based on documentable results. Instead, everything is based on the subjective FEELINGS of the people involved.

The left is committing the very “crime” it accuses the right of. From “immoral profits” to the “greater good”, Progressive government is mandating a ‘spiritual’ standard on it’s people………in violation of the First Amendment!

Evolution isn’t even a real word. It means nothing. Inventions dont evolve, transportation and communications dont evolve, the sun and moon are NOT evolving. Art and music do not evolve. No chemical elements surge upward; all radioactive material disintegrates. People grow, develop, mature and decay; none of them evolve. The universe is not integrating it is exploding outward. Like I said, evolution isn’t even a word, let alone a theory. It is a term invented by the pagan imagination of a depraved sinner to describe his religious faith in HIMSELF. Evolution occurs nowhere, at any time, in anything and never has. This religious fanaticism is baseless and groundless in fact and reality.

Which would devolve into her screaming in order to get the other person to shut up.

Hey lady, the child is your KID, not your puppet. If you really want him to think the correct things, how about nurturing, rather than traumatizing?

Science is a cemetery of dead ideas, that how it works. Learning from past mistakes

One adult American in five thinks the Sun revolves around the Earth, an idea science had abandoned by the 17th century.

People will still be arguing about evolution in the 25th century,

Listen up conservatives (and stupid liberals trying to set somebody up):

Science is not a belief system or a thing. It is a method of explaining something based on empirical evidence and testing. It is ongoing and continual process of explaining the natural world. Asking somebody if they believe in science is like asking somebody if they believe in addition.

Also, there is a shit-ton of room science for god. What happened before the Big Bang? Who put the matter there? There is no reason that you can’t believe it was a god and still continue to test whether that is true.

@Rupaula: True. The explosion of scientific learning in the West was due in large part to the desire of Christian scientists to explore Creation and see how God ordered things. In the Augustinian view, scientific study was an act of worship and devotion, as it revealed the awesomeness of God.

It’s the difference between Objective and Subjective.

Subjective: is preferences, beliefs, values, biases, attitudes, and opinions……..and it’s just a little bit different for every individual in existence.

Objective: is everything idea which is established as true within a stated context. It the grand scheme of things, very, very few things in life are Objective. Our existence is dominated by someone else forcing their own OPINIONS of something, on us.

I don’t care what you believe, Rick. I care about your policy record.

No other theory best explains the fact of species diversity better than evolution, and if you disagree, I dare you to build an ark, fill it with couples of animals, and hope their children aren’t inbred. Then I’ll invite you to a little island off the coast of Croatia where you can witness significant changes in allele frequencies of the native lizard populations in the span of a human life.

You and I probably won’t care, because you will defend American interests regardless of your beliefs. Go get ‘em.
