Bachmann Calls Race-Baiting Dem Rep. Maxine Waters A “Socialist”…
Honestly, I’m not sure Waters is even smart enough to be a socialist.
(Sunshine State News) — U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who won the Iowa Republican straw poll earlier in the month, took off the gloves on Wednesday and tore into President Barack Obama and U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif..
“As the stock market continues to sink deeper, unemployment lines are growing longer and the debt is increasing by millions, President Obama seems more interested in checking his own poll numbers than he is in providing any real leadership to create jobs and fix our economy,” insisted Bachmann. “And the Democratic leadership in Congress is no better. Earlier this week, Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters shouted, ‘the tea party can go straight to hell.’ The Democrats would rather attack honest, patriotic Americans than try to rein in government spending or reduce the deficit.
“President Obama’s failed leadership and Maxine Waters’ socialist policies have driven our economy into a deep financial hole. If the United States is going to get back on a path to prosperity it begins by ensuring Obama is a one-term president,” added Bachmann.

I agree with Bachman, but I don’t think the Republicans have the cahoonies to do it.
Waters may or may not be a capital-S Socialist. However, there is a fundamental difference between a classical Socialist and someone who merely wants to get everything one can for one’s own ethnic group.

P.S. If I remember correctly (though it’s probably scrubbed from their site at this point), the Democratic Socialists of America claimed her as one of their own.
Why isn’t Michelle and the rest of the majority House and minority Repubs screaming at the top of their lungs every day about the San Fran’s swamp and demanding investigations daily of the out of control White House? All I hear are crickets with respect to the DOJ gunrunners scandal, Maxine’s TARP ethics issues, etc.
She IS a socialist, but that doesn’t matter here. What Bachman should have focused on is that at no other time in most living people’s memory is the fact that not only members of Congress but a sitting President and Vice President as well are actually classifying ordinary America citizens who simply disagree with their policies THE ENEMY and TERRORISTS. The division and marginalization of American citizens is unprecedented and specious, and it needs to STOP. They need to be called out and humiliated for doing it.

Waters replied that “They do their business and I do mine.”
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) named Waters to its list of most corrupt members of Congress in its 2005, 2006 and 2009 reports. Citizens Against Government Waste named her the June 2009 Porker of the Month due to her intention to obtain an earmark for the Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center.
Waters’ husband is a stockholder and former director of One United Bank and the bank’s executives were major contributors to her campaigns. In September 2008, Waters arranged meetings between U.S. Treasury Department officials and One United Bank, so that the bank could plead for federal cash. It had been heavily invested in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and its capital was “all but wiped out” after the U.S. government took them over. The bank received $12 million in TARP) money.
Waters has a long history of making vile accusations without any facts to back up her allegations behavior.
Wait! Wasn’t it Waters who was singing the praises of Castro and Cuba? Didn’t she (while visiting Cuba with the CBC) say that their system of government was superior to our own?

When I was a kid the neighbors had a dog that used to get the same look on her face every time she went and $hit a peach pit! VERY concentrated and intense – a wide-eyed intensity that almost said, “What the hell was THAT?!”

Waters and Wilson are just mean, vile women who are out to get everything they can for their constituents in the way of entitlements and handouts. The Tea Party threatens that position, because they are calling for limits to government spending, therefore in the Wilson/Waters world, they are indeed the enemy. In their loopy way of thinking , they can extrapolate fiscal discipline (reducing entitlements) to mean the same thing as racism (like the KKK in the 1930s). They will say or do anything no matter how dishonest or inflammatory to protect their entitlements. There is no way to have a rational discussion or real debate with people like this. They are lost souls pure and simple.
