Perry Rips Obama For “Throwing Israel Under The Bus” With Calls For Withdrawing To 1967 Borders…
Damn right.
OTTUMWA, Iowa — Riding high in the polls, Gov. Rick Perry rode into Iowa on Saturday with tough talk on President Barack Obama and a declaration that Social Security is not only a Ponzi scheme but a “monstrous lie” for younger people.
“If you’re for the status quo in America, I’m not your guy,” Perry told an overflow crowd eager to see the presidential candidate at The Vine Coffeehouse.
Asked by a woman in the crowd about Social Security being viewed as an entitlement program, Perry reiterated the suggestion in his anti-Washington book “Fed Up!” that the program amounts to a Ponzi scheme.
“It is a Ponzi scheme for these young people The idea that they’re working and paying into Social Security today (and) the current program is going to be there for them is a lie,” Perry said. “It is a monstrous lie on this generation, and we can’t do that to them.”
Later, in Des Moines, when a reporter asked about the suggestion his campaign was backing off some positions in the staunch states-rights book, Perry said, “I haven’t backed off anything in my book. So read the book again and get it right.”
He told the Ottumwa crowd that for people who are drawing Social Security or “like me” near eligibility, he wasn’t proposing a change in the program. But he said there should be a national conversation about potential changes for others, including raising the age of eligibility and establishing a threshold based on a person’s means.
“Does Warren Buffett need to get Social Security? Maybe not,” he said.
On foreign policy, Perry was asked about Israel and cited a statement by Obama that Israel’s borders with a Palestinian state should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps — a position Perry called “throwing Israel under the bus.”
“I’m going to stand with Israel,” he said.
Asked whether he’d consider pre-emptive strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Perry said there are “a lot of different ways to deal with Iran,” including diplomatically and financially, But he added, “I’m never going to take off the table our ability to have a military solution to a country like Iran.”

Obama always professes enduring friendship with Israel and prefaces all his remarks to Jewish and American audiences with such statements,But once his declarations are complete – -he then proceeds to denounce Israel’s policies and to deny its basic rights.Obama then demands the take away of Jewish property rights, tell Israel to accept indefensible borders, as well as telling Israel to desist from defending themselves from aggression.
Other politicians have reflected this same attitude, but to me they are nothing but cowards who do not have the courage to stand up for what is right. I think there is more courage in one IDF Soldier than most of the political hacks combined in Washington.
To me Obama is both a coward and a liar.

First starts as “We’ll do x”, then quickly heads toward “Sure, we’ll work with the other side of the isle”, then flat out turns into, “Ok, whatever you guys want, just don’t call us racist extremist”. The financial burden will grow smaller and smaller, every year, until idea is just a footnote in history. If people aren’t robbed of their wages for 50 years to pay for retirement of others, then maybe they could afford to make a future for themselves.

It is not Social Security that is a Ponzi scheme; it is the federal government that has stolen Soc. Sec. funds and replaced them with increasingly worthless Treasury notes. At least Perry says he will stand with Israel.

In this time of microwaves, and internet, instant mashed potaotes, etc, we have come to expect instant gratification. Yes, we elected Republicans, but they only have the house, not the Senate, or the White House. Most of the Republicans, especially the Tea Party ones are fighting for us. Everytime they come up with something, the Senate shuts it down, or the pres says he will veto it.
The elected Governors are doing a lot, even fighting Unions, which Obama is backing.
Stop whining, and start fighting. And then keep fighting. Get our government back into the hands of conservatives. But remember, there will always be something you don’t quite agree on., but don’t in fight until we lose to the liberals again!
Perry is going to go down as just another flavor of the month once Palin announces.

I wish I had all of my “contributions” made to social security back. I would have made the same contributions to the investments of my choice, and I would not be worried now.
The new generations without social security, will be so much better off over time it will be almost unthinkable. Indeed, social security is probably keeping the economy from taking off especially without the reinvestment that the contributors are not now making.
