Why do we still have snipers? We’re not allowed to shoot anybody !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome pictures Zip! take no prisoners boys!!!
Thanks fellers, well done. God bless the US military.
To all military folks….screw ROE….shoot everything…protect yourselves.
Those are some steep mountains. Fly boys and Infantry doing what needs to be done.
Killing the enemy and Breaking things.
In other news, Obama hits new ALL TIME LOW Disapproval Rating… http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx
Wow. How do those guys get the shots with all that going on?
Zip,
Is there any way you or anybody here can get these awesome pics to their families and friends? I am so proud of my Wolfhounds from Puerto Rico, fighting along with our troops. ORGULLO BORICUA!
Peace through strength baby!!!
The one thing Puerto Ricans can be awesome at also is blending in. Some of them know so it does play well in one way or another. Just have to keep their mouths shut! LOL!
God bless them and keep them safe….
PPF
That would be awesome, occasionally people comment after seeing someone they know but I think those are from Google name searches.
Would be nice for the families to see their loved ones are being appreciated for their service.
PPF,
I served with a Wolfhound (out of Buchanan.) He was my NCOIC down at GTMO. Great guy. And even though I was Navy and he was Army, he always kept it professional. . .
What must those positions be like in the winter?
@Brown: Cold, if they have them at all. Fighting, at least the major movements essentially grinds to a halt in Winter. Little skirmishes still occur.
Great photos. I always worry about what their knees, ankles, and backs will be like after living on rocks for so long.
Those ANA soldiers make me uncomfortable. It seems like we fight harder for their country than they do.
Go Wolfhounds!!! I served with the hounds in Vietnam 68-69 and their moto still stands “No fear on Earth” We should remember that they are in this job to serve you and their country, so back them up. If you don’t go live somewhere else. How many coments are entered by those who have never been in the Service. Maybe that’s what our Country needs, bring back the draft.
Could anyone please explain why US soldiers always wear kaffiyahs when in Muslim countries?
I’ve never seen US soldiers putting on yarmolkas when in Israel or kimonos in Japan. Is this some kind of hipster shik or their idea of embracing the local “culture”?
The patch on the soldier in the 1st picture looks like 25th Infantry (Tropic Thunder), not 27th.
I am so proud of our troops, fighting a war on 2 fronts. One against the jihadi enemy, the other against the media and other leftists that seek to undermine our country. ROE? No farting? No this, no that ….
I recall the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid where they “explain” the rules of a knife fight …. that’s how wars are won!
The 27th Infantry Regiment Wolfhounds have been a part of the 25th Infantry Division, better known as Tropic Lightning, since it was created in October 1941, and before that we were original members of the old Hawaiian Division. Back then, there were usually three regiments in a division. Today, there are brigades instead. The 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment (The Wolfhounds) is part of the 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division currently deployed to eastern Afghanistan as part of Enduring Freedom. Hope that clears it up. No Fear!
Why don’t those boys get cammo bangsticks? The only thing making them visible in those photos are their weapons.
