Huh? Romney Campaign Claims He’s Not Raising Much Money From Jewish Donors Because They Mistakenly Think Bachmann Is Jewish…

Even worse, Team Mittens is claiming her campaign might be pushing the rumor to help raise additional funds.

(NYP) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is facing a new challenge: He’s having trouble raising money from some Jewish donors who mistakenly believe one of his opponents, Michele Bachmann, is Jewish.

Some Jewish donors are telling fund-raisers for Romney, a Mormon, that while they like him, they’d rather open their wallets for the “Jewish candidate,” who they don’t realize is actually a Lutheran, The Post has learned.

“It’s a real problem,” one Romney fund-raiser said. “We’re working very hard in the Jewish community because of Obama’s Israel problem. This was surprising.”

Like other Republicans, Romney is trying to capitalize on President Obama’s waning support among Jewish voters, who are upset with his administration’s policies toward Israel.

Now, with this latest hiccup among Jewish donors, some in Romney’s camp have been wondering whether Bachmann and her allies are pushing the “Jewish” rumor to help their own fund-raising, sources said.

She has enjoyed strong popularity among Jewish voters and often talks about her stay on a kibbutz during the summer of 1974, when she was a teenager.

Romney really is from the political class. So many strange notions bouncing around that skull. They can’t even filter the nonsense they say.

So being Jewish supersedes supporting a candidate based on the issues?

    Judaism. It’s the new black.

He’s worried about the 3% of American Jewish voters who aren’t voting for Obama?

    Perhaps they don’t like Mormons…

I find it hard to believe that they don’t know Bachman isn’t Jewish.

I do truly believe Romney needs meds. What an assinine thing to say. Mrs. Bachmann is a Christian, has always been, no convert. Believe she left WELS Lutheran some time ago, and now attends an evangelical church. Her slogan for Romney should be “Get a grip Mitt” – he’s turning into a whiney little boy.

    Katherine You got that right…
    &
Romney’s biggest trouble right now is Rick Perry. Not rumors regarding Mrs. Bachmann Judaism. Romney is a dreadful campaigner. Oy Gavelt

Wait for it guys, Romney and Bachmann are amateurs. The fun hasn’t really begun yet because you haven’t seen anything until you see Perry campaign. It will be interesting to see if he can manage it on the national stage.

In the mean time, after cursing and stomping and then finally having to come to terms with him being all in, I’m now just marking time with what I like to call the opening acts with everyone else. I like hearing the rumors of a Perry/Rubio ticket, just wondering if Rubio would be game and/or if Perry would be smart enough to actually tag him.

Again, as a Jew, I have yet to meet a single Jew, or for that matter, anyone who prefers Romney as the ’12 GOP candidate. Yet, somehow, we are to led to believe by the msm and pollsters that Romney has significant support. Shades of McCain ’08 campaign shenanigans.
Fooled me once, shame on me. Fooled me twice . . .ain’t happening.

No one in my community considers Bachmann a Jew (not that I’ve asked them all…).
It’s common knowledge that she’s not. But hey, Not everyone is perfect! (That line’s from the movie “independence day”.)
Then again, I don’t associate with the liberal ultra-leftists Jews. So who know’s what they are thinking.
(Hint: They don’t tend to do much thinking…)

Personally, I believe Bachmann would make a great president. She’d probably go in the footsteps of the “Iron Woman” Thatcher.
