Libya: Father Slit Throats Of Three Daughters In “Honor Killings” After They Were Raped By Gaddafi’s Forces…

(Daily Mail) — A Libyan father killed his three daughters after they were raped by Gaddafi’s troops to lift the shame on his family, a human rights group said today.
The girls, aged 15, 17 and 18 were allegedly assaulted by soldiers at a school in the town of Tomina, near the war-shattered city of Misrata, during a two-month siege.
When they returned home, their father slit their throats in a so-called honour killing, according to Physicians for Human Rights (PHR).
The horrific story was one of a number to emerge from Misrata after the group sent in a team of interviewers in June to catalogue human rights abuses just after Libyan forces expelled Gaddafi loyalists.

Now this was of course horrific..but we must look at the good side. See, in a way, he was subconsciously trying to purge himself of his own offspring?
This is a way of thought and a way of life that will NEVER be compatible with American culture. I can’t think of any American father who would rather have his daughters dead but “honorable.”
This issue is particularly poignant to me. When I was 14, I was raped by a friend, on school grounds, after the Homecoming dance. I did not tell anyone for several years. That’s a big regret of mine: that I didn’t go to my parents THAT VERY NIGHT and tell them what had happened, rather than try to bear it alone. It wouldn’t have made what happened go away, but I could have started healing sooner, and not gone through years of feeling depressed and worthless. They know now, of course, and I’ve made my peace with the past.
But this much I know: my dad would have done everything in his power to help me. Probably would have gone over to the boy’s house (along with my very big older brother) and beat the $#it out of the boy responsible. But his first concern would have been MY safety, not some stupid, bloody concept of family honor.

It’s based entirely based hearsay recorded by Physicians for Human Rights (check out their founding members who include Goldstone of Goldstone Report infamy) and never verified. This “evidence” was collected in a rebel-held town when the rebels were pushing the propaganda campaign past the limits with claims of Viagra and rape camps and all manner of crazy accusations later proven false by reputable human rights investigators. At the same time, the rebels of Cyrenacia were torturing and lynching black migrant workers accused of being Gaddafi mercenaries (reputable human rights investigators found there was no evidence of Gaddafi mercenaries operating in Eastern Libya at all). All was meant to garner support from the West and deflect criticism of their own crimes. This “report” from PHR has yet to be documented or proven.

It is a known problem that eventually must be dealt with.
There is no honor in killing. It is acts like this that they call “honour killings” because in reality they have no honor. Islam is a Decent religion. I’m Catholic myself and will hold no byass to it because christians sins where etched in stone during the crusades. I can only hope this man meets his judgement day soon, and whether it be our god or his, will condemn his actions and appropriate a proper sentence.
