Obama Announces Primetime Address To Joint Session Of Congress, Schedules It During GOP Presidential Debate…
Which one should we live-blog, the debate or the address? I’ll put up a poll the day before and let you guys decide.
(National Journal) — President Obama has asked for a joint session of Congress on Sept. 7 to present his plan for jobs.
In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Speaker of the House John Boehner, R-Ohio, Obama said it is his intention to “lay out a series of bipartisan proposals that the Congress can take immediately to continue to rebuild the American economy.”
The president said the proposals focus on “strengthening small businesses, helping Americans get back to work, and putting more money back in the paychecks of the middle class.”

Very risky move. This is essentially a plebosite on the President’s administration vrs the GOP contenders. Which does the country believe is most informative, or represents greater importance to the future. Were I the smartest man in the room, I would not set myself up for even the possibility of such a test.
It’s a no brainer, Zip. Post the GOP Presidential Debate. barry is just going to repeat himself for the umpteenth time. The only entertainment will occur if the cameras pan around the audience and we can count how many Congresspeople and Senators fall asleep during barry’s rambling lecture.
Now there will be two reasons to go out.
Rush said that Boehner should refuse to meet with Obama on that day, because it is the same day as the debate.
Obama deliberately picked that day to mess up the coverage of the debate.
Obama jobs plan: putting more people to work on his re-election.

Rush talked about AT&T wanting to merge with Verizon today. Something to do with Cellular Phones, which would have bough 5000 jobs to the US from overseas.
