Wisconsin Union Goons Cave, Will Allow Republicans To March In Labor Day Parade…

Amazing what a threat to withhold funds can accomplish.

(Wausau Daily) — Organizers of the Labor Day parade in Wausau backtracked on Tuesday night from an earlier decision to bar Republican lawmakers from participating in the event.

In an email statement issued shortly before midnight, Marathon County Labor Council President Randy Radtke said everyone will be permitted to march in the parade “because we don’t want to have community groups and school bands affected.”

“We didn’t start this fight in Wisconsin, but were responding to anti-worker positions and policies supported by local Republican politicians, including those who have complained about not being invited,” Radtke’s statement read. “With the track records that Pam Galloway, Sean Duffy, Scott Walker, and Jerry Petrowski have all put together this year, they should be ashamed to even show their faces at a Labor Day parade.”

On Tuesday afternoon, one day after demanding organizers allow members of all political parties to participate or lose financial support for the event from the city, Wausau Mayor Jim Tipple said the decision was intended to make the parade all inclusive.

This Governor would make a fine President of The United States. He’s American and not a Kenyan born, Indonesian. That is a definite plus.

If I were those republicans, I wouldnt do it.

People will throw things at them, etc. Not a great idea: parading yourself in a place where alot of people hate you.

    IMO

Radke says they should be ashamed to show their faces at a Labor Day parade.

Sorry buddy, since when does Labor=Union. Labor day is for everyone who works to support themselves and their families. If you want a true Labor Day (Union worker’s day), go to some socialist European country on May 1st.

@Shadowblitz70 – I would go and have video cameras rolling as soon as things started getting thrown. Then I would have video evidence of these goon’s behavior.

Unions have nothing to do with work; they bully the real workers with their protection racket.

Oh wait, you don’t mean that we have to spend our OWN money, do you?

Have they no shame? Sorry to see that Repubs are welcome. I was looking forward to them spending their own money and making further fools of themselves. Another nail in the coffin so to speak. TEA party should protest and all GOP who show up also be voted out.

Pretty typical, if they can’t spend someone else’s money then they got to change the rules. A union (any) corruptocrat is the same nationwide. Now, the thugs will set in wait for any conservative that show up and do their “Puch and Judy” on them.

So predictable, so stupid, soo corrupt.

Now that we’ve made our point, tell them to stick it and have their damn parade all by themselves.

Lying pile of steaming excrement, he doesn’t want to pony up the cost. Good move by the mayor telling these pathetic scumbags if they want public funding then EVERYONE marches or pay the bill yourself. If I were the repubs, I’d say, “NO, we’re not marching and you’re paying the bill yourself you petulant little worms.”

Its interesting organizers of the Labor Day parade only consider members of unions as “workers”, despite the fact 90% of the private American workforce is not.
Unions react out of fear….and launch an attack on any business of enterprise which is not organized.
The “vote” is in…most workers understand unions are not required to provide protection from corporations, which is why successful business have thrived without organized labor.
The sooner this ‘dinosaur’ joins the others in a museum the better off all workers will be.

  19. Katherine says:

I think the Republicans should show up. Not to do so means that the unions have scared them off. The last thing you ever want to show a bully is that his tactics work.

It’s like letting a dog steal your food; when the time comes and you put your foot down, he thinks you’re stealing his food and will attack you.

Which is why the unions behave as they do. They feel entitled to what they get, because they’ve always gotten it.

  20. Shadowblitz70 says:
    August 31, 2011 at 6:12 pm

    I agree, Katherine, but…..

would you want to go to the hospital, possibly even die from a traumatic head wound or worse…. for a parade? I know its a little bit of a stretch, but certainly not out of character for union thugs and commie leftists to be irrational and violent.

I just dont know if dying or being in the hospital for 6 months is worth a parade, ya know? Doing your job and sticking to your guns when it comes to your job and future of the state, thats one thing. Putting yourself in danger to make a point, thats another.
Glad its their call, not mine.

  23. Katherine says:

    @Shadowblitz70

I see your point. But, then you have to ask yourself, is anything, short of your family and your life, worth getting your head busted?

At what point do the little things add up to a big thing? As far as the unions are concerned they’ve been adding up for years, for decades. The unions have been known to kill people and one of them recently shot a business owner. At what point is enough enough!

Like you, I wouldn’t want to make that call. Particularly, if it were my husband. So, I do see your point.

I’ve heard that if you’re from the midwest, your chances of getting a job in California are good, because people from there are lazy.

It’s the end cause of socialism. By its very nature, it makes you lazy, unless you are a very motivated individual.

It’s not fortunate vs. less-fortunate. The two millionaires I personally know are the two hardest working people I’ve ever seen. 60 hour weeks are a break to them.

The biggest problem with socialism is that people think they have “earned a right” to certain things just by existing. By modern standards, I grew up “in poverty” because we did not have cable TV, a microwave, or a color TV until I was 10 years old. I never had air conditioning until I was over 30 years old! Most people “living in poverty” have all of these things. The people “living in poverty” in the US live better than the AVERAGE European! My Mother lives in poverty, according to “income statistics! She has a beautiful house and yard, all paid-for, and has thousands in the bank, but according to statistics, her income level has her living in poverty! THAT’s the GREAT SCAM REGARDING POVERTY IN THIS COUNTRY! They measure income, not wealth.
