Obama: I’m “Frustrated” Congress Won’t “Focus” On Doing Their Jobs, Never Mind The Fact I’ve Been On Vacation, A Bus Tour And Hitting Non-Stop Fundraisers…

Via email, note how Barack and I are on a first-name basis.

From: Barack Obama
Subject: Frustrated
Date: August 31, 2011 10:42:24 PM EDT

Drew —

Today I asked for a joint session of Congress where I will lay out a clear plan to get Americans back to work. Next week, I will deliver the details of the plan and call on lawmakers to pass it.

Whether they will do the job they were elected to do is ultimately up to them.

But both you and I can pressure them to do the right thing. We can send the message that the American people are playing by the rules and meeting their responsibilities — and it’s time for our leaders in Congress to meet theirs.

And we must hold them accountable if they don’t.

No matter how things go in the weeks and months ahead, this will be an important challenge for our organization.

It’s been a long time since Congress was focused on what the American people need them to be focused on. [didn’t he just come back from vacation? — ed]

I know that you’re frustrated by that. I am, too.

That’s why I’m putting forward a set of bipartisan proposals to help grow the economy and create jobs — that means strengthening our small businesses, giving needed breaks to middle-class families, while taking responsible steps to bring down our deficit.

I’m asking lawmakers to look past short-term politics and take action on that plan. But we’ve got to do this together.

More to come,

Barack

Do the job they were elected to do?
    -Repeal obamacare
    -Balance the budget
    -Cut unnecessary pork-barrel spending
    -Secure the border
    -Reduce job-killing government regulations

So far I’d give them all an “F” on all counts.

Addressing a joint session of Congress should only be used for important issues.
THIS on the other hand, is going to be used by Obama to insult Congress and blame them for his failures.
    Thay should refuse to attend.

    “we must hold them accountable”

    Accountability starts with Obama.

Yes indeed, members of Congress are not doing their jobs– and some of the jobs they are NOT doing include having yet to hire special prosecutors for investigation committees to prosecute the illegal activities of the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION.

    Yeah… Barry….blame Congress…

let me know how that works out for you…

It’s bipartisan because he says so? What a fuckin douchbag.

    @ killerjoe

It’s bipartisan because both of his lips said so!

He constantly uses the word “frustration.”

  10. MADgirl91 says:

“hold them accountable.” Sounds like he’s admitting his own irrelevance.

The bigger the stage, the more insignificant the message will appear.

I hope we see lots of shots of Congressmen in the audience, looking at their blackberries for scores of the football game.

So King Putt is still talking, talking, talking about job creation. Too bad he doesn’t mean IN THIS COUNTRY. Ask Gibson Guitar’s CEO about the Obama admin’s suggestion to send jobs to Madagascar to make his “problems go away.”
    When will this nightmare end……..

He needs to be called out for his hypocrisy on a daily basis, right on the Capitol floor. Every. Day. Do not allow this jerk to frame the debate.

What do we have to lose?

  14. Chris in N.Va. says:
    September 1, 2011 at 9:44 am

The only job he’s eternally, 24x7x365 focused on is his own, just like the only “skin in the game” that’s important is everyone else’s — everyone, that is, other than his (re)voting base, and base they are…

  15. Chris in N.Va. says:
    September 1, 2011 at 9:49 am

    @buzzsaw…..

Yuppers, narcissists are continually frustrated when others do not sufficiently recognize their (self-assessed) personal greatness, give them the desired positive strokes (even off of the golf course!) and immediately submit to and grant their every whim and demand.

They have perfected and excel in snit fits and temper tantrums to get their own way, but not in producing quantitative results.

  16. J says:

This is the crap he’s been spewing ever since he decided to run for president. He hasn’t fixed it yet, and he’s not going to.

The question remains whether he had any intention of doing so in the first place?

  17. Tracker 3 says:
    September 1, 2011 at 10:15 am

Just words….no substance, no results. He will offer no details that have not already been in place.

    @ Zip,

So insulting. If barry is going to call you “Drew” and not the formal, “Zip”; then he should have signed the letter “barry” and not the formal, “Barack”. The use of names in this letter does not represent a “balanced approach.” What a hypocrite that barry is!

    Sincerely,
    “sb”

The great unifier speaks. We must all listen.

Think Dear Leader will propose that “Infrastructure Bank” to “save/create jobs”? Dick Trumka will salivate like Pavlov’s Dog as the words get read off the TOTUS. Think of all the taxpayer funds they can raid and line their coat pockets with from a whole new venue of unaccountability!

Maybe we can put Mad Maxine and Bawney Fwank in charge of it, guarding the hen house so to speak- what could go wrong?

Oh and green jobs leadership and stuff. Tax the rich. Create new gov commisions. Etc.

If any of you are getting personal e-mails from Barack Obama then you should get new e-mail accounts. If you’re on his Facebook friends list then get a better class of friend.

Seriously. I’m not kidding. If you just really want to get e-mails that bad then ask for a car insurance or life insurance quote online. Then you’ll get all kinds of e-mails and letters. Or write to lonely men in prison. Or penpals overseas.

Please do yourselves a favor and stop corresponding with the Devil.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that he’ll have some great workable ideas that will really get this country back on course. If it’s the same speech as before; the rich needs to pay their fair share, then I’m turning off the tv and emailing the white house telling them I believe this president is doing his best to destroy this country. My 15 year old understands what’s needed to turn things around. Stop spending money.

  30. Nancy says:
    September 1, 2011 at 1:25 pm

really? obama is frustrated? Maybe he should stop doing the same things and expecting a different result. Stop spending. Get out of the way. Reduce regulation. Reduce the size of government. We are NOT the world – we’re America. Stop selling out our children and grandchildren to your failed ideology.

  31. Nancy says:

    Lying jerk.

This guy is the classic lying politician. I can’t think of a worse epithet to call him. He vacations, he fundraises, he spends taxpayer money like water on fun, fun for himself and his family, then turns around, sticks out his hand and demands we, the struggling peasants, pony up for his bills.

Come November 2012, I will vote, no matter if the polling place is surrounded by Black Panthers, SEIU thugs or howling wolves. This guy has got to go.

  32. The Real Left Coast Conservative says:

Interesting thing here – he uses the term “organization” and not “government”. We are seeing a concerted effort to change the language and minimize the impact of what they are doing. Interesting.

  36. Doug says:
    September 1, 2011 at 4:40 pm

Liar! The only thing that’s frustrating to you about the Congress is that the framers put it there to stop problems like you.

Cry and whine all you want. Sooner or later, everything about who and what you are hiding from us will be revealed. That will be a day in history . . . the day justice exposes a tyrant before all the people and America again is a free nation under God.

  37. Hubcap says:
    September 1, 2011 at 5:13 pm

I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I.

Obama continues to play that game of “projection” but he plays alone because nobody listens to him. It goes without saying people don’t have time to waste listening to more lies and thats all we get when Obama speaks is lies on top of lies. Obama makes excuses before he lies to explain that he isn’t responsible because NOBODY WANTS TO STEP UP AND DO HIS JOB FOR HIM…NOT EVEN HIS DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS HAS THE ABILITY. THEY ARE ALL INEPT AND GO AROUND SAYING HOW CONGRESS DIDN’T DO THEIR JOB. WELL, ITS YOUR JOB OBAMA. YOU STOLE IT YOU DO IT.

Obama never accomplished anything in his entire life worth speaking about. He couldn’t even run a one man toilet cleaning crew!

Oh, please, God, make him stop making speeches. I can’t take it anymore. His monotonously predictable just talkin’ to the folks style – laced with bald-faced lies, his constant partisan campaigning, his incitement to class warfare and his incessant blaming of others including Nature. Sometimes I just can’t change the channel quick enough and then I’m disgusted for hours and hours. Especially when I realize that he’s pretty pleased with himself and thinking his speech was stirring. But we have the fawning media to thank for that. And, of course, his narcissism. I can’t wait for November 2012. I don’t care who’s running against Bam-Bam. He or she has my vote. And my volunteer hours, too.
