Dem Rep. Andre Carson: “We Need a Referendum On Those Members Of Congress Who Hold Extremist Views”…

Carson also said his comments about Tea Partiers wanting to see blacks “hanging on a tree” were meant to be taken “figuratively,” which is obviously a total load of BS.

Via Washington Times:

Congressman Andre Carson, Indiana Democrat, spoke with Washington Times radio program America’s Morning News on Monday about his controversial remarks almost two weeks ago regarding tea party activists and lawmakers on the hill who support them.

Carson said that they would “love to see” black Americans “as second-class citizens” and “some of them in Congress right now of this tea party movement would love to see you and me . . . hanging on a tree.”

Although Rep. Carson explained to AMN that he only meant these comments “figuratively,” he did say he still had concern about lawmakers on the hill with “extremist views.” When asked which members he was referring to, Rep. Carson, said: “I was talking about a school of thought. Some want to take us back 50 or 60 years. We have to see a push next year . . . we have to see a referendum on those members of Congress who hold extremist views.”

Frankly, I find it terrifying that so many on the Left seem to want to criminalize those on the Right who have differing opinions than they. Last I checked, this was America and everyone is entitled to an opinion.

    I guess if I go with this racist character’s thinking;

if I say something only figuratively, the comments I choose to use might as well be endless in a disgusting diatribe.

But people like Andre Carson unfortunately get a pass and are held to a different standard which is just plain wrong.

this race baiter is a pos.

    he needs to go.

please black America wake up, you have a lot to offer the future, we Americans are all in this together, white black yellow polka dot.

we have a couple of generations where middle class black and white have lived together in the same neighborhoods and attend the same schools, grew up together.

you are the ones to stand up and say enough is enough, i will not listen to anymore of this race baiting bull crap.

Sure, I agree with him, considering the average Democratic Congressmen is much farther from the center (hence, more “extreme”) than the average Republican. The average Democrat is so far left of center that even a RINO looks like an “extremist” to them.

What’s the point of having 535 different people there if only one ‘opinion set’ is allowed?

Careful what you wish for, Andre. Your referendum could come a year later than you expect…….during a Republican administration. Then by definition, YOU would be the extremist.

How can he be trusted to be unbiase when it comes to entitlements when all his relatives are part of the “benefit” class?

it’s a rare moment when a hoosier has to admit that his congressman is one of the numbest nuts in the congress. the bar is just so low that you almost have to try to be noticed with people like barry, biden, holder, wasserman-shultz, pelosi and hoyer.

however, this vermin scum is giving them all a run for the money. I’m so ashamed but my distirict is largely composed of people that vote the treasury rather than actually think about the country or the next generation. This is the kind of filth you get when you let scum vote the treasury.
