Florida: Liberal Rag Outraged Allen West Used Phrase “Radical Islamic Enemy” Instead Of Al-Qaeda…
How dare he call the enemy by its proper name!
(Broward/Palm Beach Times) — Ten years ago, as the Twin Towers fell, there were fears the attacks would bring on a wave of anti-Muslim sentiment in America. Some people worried that every innocent citizen in a headscarf would be blamed for the terrorists’ plot and that ethnic and religious profiling would become an accepted part of our national culture.
Now, Osama bin Laden is dead. American troops are withdrawing from Iraq, and many national leaders are contemplating the best way to leave Afghanistan. Yet U.S. Rep. Allen West is carrying on the anti-Muslim sentiment that highlighted the ugliest parts of our national psyche for the past decade. He released a statement yesterday that blamed the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan on “a radical Islamic enemy” — not al Qaeda, and not bin Laden. In fact, in his recollection of 9/11, he never mentions any of the individuals who planned or orchestrated the attacks.
“I knew whoever was responsible for this despicable attack would have to be held accountable,” West writes. “Since then, I have been to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and now in the United States House of Representatives, I will continue to work to bring every single one of these enemies to justice.
“As Americans, we sit here today knowing that the war is not over. This radical Islamic enemy, this militant Islam we are facing is evidenced in Islamic Totalitarianism. It is not something with which we can appease or negotiate.”
Ten years ago, our national leaders told us we were fighting a war on terrorism. Now West is citing an enemy called “Islamic Totalitarianism,” which he does not define. Is this the kind of progress we should be proud of?

Use the term “radical islamist” every day in every instance you can. Stop the stifling of speech in this country. Today! Use it and use it often. Forget the PC government folks. Forget them! Use your constitution-given right of free speech and expression. STAND UP!!!
Allen West is “spot on” in his comments. The Western world needs a man like him as US president. Pity he isn’t running this time, and time is running out.
The man is a true warrior because he first dares names the enemy. We are in his debt.

I too am sick of and disgusted by the touchy feeley statements issued by the spineless, weak willed, lackeys and lapdogs of Islam in the political class and the MSM. They, simply out of cowardice an Political Correctness refuse to admit that we are at war and to name the enemy. We in the West have been in a state of war with a political/religious system commonly referred to as Islam for the last 1400+ yrs. By the admission of their Imams and teachings they will not stop until they have established a world wide Caliphate under Sharia Law, forcing those who do not submit to be put to death or enslaved. Their devious propaganda machine CAIR, aided by the left, has been lobbying and arm twisting the MSM, crying ‘victim’ at the mere mention of anything Islamic.

Al Qaeda was formed by Osama Bin Laden following the Sunni doctrine found in the Koran along with the rest of the Islamic trilogy, the Syrah and the hadiths along with the call to jihad against the infidel. In the case of Osama Bin Laden he tooks his case one step farther and began to murder other Muslims simply because they were not being Muslim enough. But of course this has been the problem along as Rumsfeld pointed out on CNN. This administration to fearful to call the enemy what it really is because they are afraid of insulting a religion.
Let me see if I “get it” as pertains to this article. West and those who believe the western way of life is theatened by radical islam rather than a specific islamist are paranoid fearmongers?
Remember…it is not paranoia when they really are trying to kill you.
Radical Islamic enemy and militant Islam are not perfect definitions of Al Qaeda? Or is this doofus just upset that his favorite religion was mentioned as a major element of the enemy?
Also, he seemingly equates innocent citizens in headscarfs to these radical Islamists. After all, he fears some non-existent rise of violent Islamophobia that would lead to the destruction of such people. And what does he claim fuels such violence? Allen West calling the enemy by one of its several proper descriptions. WTF??
Innocent, headscarf wearing people have nothing to do with radical Islam. Criticizing the latter is not criticizing the former (nor is it an incitement of violence towards the former). And failing to criticize the latter is not progress at all; it is the first step towards submission.
All these responses make me more proud than ever to be called an American. The enemy is here folks, and we cannot be afraid to recognize it and to call it by name.

Lt. Col. Allen West understands the value of and isn’t afraid to use accurate terminology to define the enemy. We should all be as immune to the self loathing outreach pathology of this administration.

Allen West, and any others who fearlessly call it like it is. Have you seen that Turkey and Eygpt are joining hands and calling for Islam to rule? Its happening right in front of our eyes. Yes, it is “the kind of progress we should be proud of.” It’s much more useful to be specific about the enemy’s ideology and motives than to think you’ve defined the problem by naming one of the enemy’s strategies (and terrorism is not the only one).

@Mackie, If we’re going to be correct in calling a spad a spad then lets call it what it really is. It is NOT a religion. It is a CULT. Some people are starting to use this term because they are waking up. No other true religion could or would use these raga heads idiology and get away with it.
When there are men such as West, Peter King or similar than I am confident we have survival. Without such leaders in our midst we are doomed. Whether these leaders are National or the next door neighbor.
