Report: Pawlenty Endorsed Romney In Exchange For Help Paying Off Campaign Debt…

Money talks.

(NRO) — Tim Pawlenty may be receiving help in paying off a campaign debt (possibly as high as six figures) from the Romney campaign in exchange for his decision to endorse Romney, reports Politico.

Not surprisingly, Pawlenty did not cite that as one of the reasons he had endorsed Mitt Romney today in an interview this afternoon with Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

He did explain, however, why he could justify endorsing Romney after criticizing him harshly earlier this year with the “Obamaneycare” slam.

I ran for a State seat in Maine as a Republican and was told that my campaign would be funded by the party. I projected a budget of seven thousand dollars and was told that was fine. Weeks after the election, they sent me a check for fifty dollars. When I called the party boss, he told me that it was a tough race winning “his” seat this year and all the funds had to be redirected. They are all crooks, some are just more conservative and honest than others.

Pawlenty seems like a weasel to me. I was glad when he stopped running for the office of President.

This kind of influence is destructive to nation. I’m relieved Pawlenty dropped out and came clean about the rationale behind his support for Romney.
Now, let’s show Mitt the exit door too.

I heard this endorsement this morning on FOX. It seemed a bit off to me. Maybe this is why. What a sad sad little man. So happy he bowed out early.

“Tim Pawlenty may be receiving help in paying off a campaign debt (possibly as high as six figures) from the Romney campaign in exchange for his decision to endorse Romney, reports Politico.”

I think the operative works are “may” and “Politico”. Where is the proof? Sounds like a lot of supposition on the part of Politico.

just imagine the momentum Romney will pick up from this huge endorsement.
    not!

Once the real voters have their say (in the actual primaries), Romney will fade away as an “also ran”.

Glad he dropped out. Anyone that easily bought sure doesn’t need to be president. We have one of those already!!
By the same token, we don’t need a president that buys votes!

Pawlenty isn’t going to be of any use to Romney, does Mitt really think Pawlenty will bring him any cred or votes? Waste of money…

Just goes to show what poor judgement Romney has.

Romney should be paying Pawlenty to not endorse him.
    This doesn’t help him.

Who else will Mitt be taking money from, in exchange for favors? More crony capitalism perhaps? Mitt had his chance, and he dropped out. It just isn’t there anymore.
