Define Ironic: Obama to pitch American Jobs Act at company that’s shipping jobs to Costa Rica
Because he’s a citizen of the world?
(TDC) — President Barack Obama will present his “jobs plan” on Wednesday at a company which is shipping jobs overseas.
Obama is scheduled to present his “jobs plan” in Apex, N.C., on Wednesday at the headquarters of WestStar Precision.
WestStar is a high-end, specialty manufacturer that just opened a new facility in San Jose, Costa Rica — creating many new jobs there, but not in the United States.
“Our main office and manufacturing facility near Research Triangle Park in the Raleigh/Durham area has approximately 11,000 sq. ft. of office space, production area and warehouse,” the company says on its website. “This facility has more than doubled in size from inception. Equipment includes precision CNC Machining centers, water jet cutter and CAD-CAM design stations.”
On the same page, WestStar Precision describes its new location, which is almost as big, in Costa Rica: “Our new office and manufacturing facility in San Jose, Costa Rica, also has approximately 10,000 sq. ft. with similar equipment as the main office. This facility is designed for high volume production to support our international and domestic clients.”
Republicans can hardly believe the company the president chose to speak at is shipping jobs overseas. . . . “Well the president is coming here to apparently tout how to create jobs in America, and the location he’s chosen has just apparently opened up a new manufacturing plant in Costa Rica,” North Carolina GOP spokesman Rob Lockwood told The Daily Caller. “So we are curious how a plant in Costa Rica creates American jobs.”

Because Barry didn’t do his home-work. Work being the key word.
Perhaps he’ll come up with a new plan to ship Americans to Costa Rica at taxpayer’s expense, of course. And when someone points out that it is more expensive to ship and house Americans there than they are bringing in in taxes, Barry will scream that Republicans want to kill jobs.

Usually when viewing “those who stand behind barry”, one notices at least one person falling asleep. And lo and behold! It looks like at least 2 -3 are nodding off! I think they drug them before bringing them in to keep them from thumping barry on the head from behind!

Since they have another new facility in Costa Rica, how long before they shut down their operations in the US all together? Did we spend tax dollars on this in some way??
President POS is speaking at Weststar tomorrow, which is near my house. Traffic is going to suck! I hope he gets in and out of the area quickly so I can go about my business. He is speaking at my alma mater, NC State afterward. The dumb mass students on the news were so excited to get tickets to the speech. I camped out when I was in college to hear President Reagan speak at the same venue. That is one of my fondest college memories! You couldn’t give me a ticket and pay me to go hear President Won blather!

Of course he’s exporting jobs, just look at the deal he brokered for GE to send American jobs and technology to China to build jet airliners. This while the WH is blocking Boeing from opening a “non-union” plant in South Carolina to create more jobs and be more competitive world wide with companies such as AirBus. Guess who the Chinese airliners will compete with? My guess is that Boeing is firmly in their cross-hairs. Thank you Obama and Jeffery Immelt. I wonder what stake the president has in this?
