Stunning: Republican Bob Turner Wins Race For Weiner’s Deep-Blue NYC House Seat…

A preview of 2012.

(WaPo) — With the outcome of his own reelection effort 14 difficult months away, President Obama suffered a sharp rebuke Tuesday when voters in New York elected a conservative Republican to represent a Democratic district that has not been in GOP hands since the 1920s.

Bob Turner, the winner, cast the election as a referendum on Obama’s stewardship of the economy and, in the state’s Ninth Congressional District, which has a large population of Orthodox Jewish voters, the president’s position on Israel.

With 75 percent of the precincts reporting at press time, Turner had a commanding lead, with 53 percent of the vote, compared with 47 percent for Weprin.

Turner, 70, a retired cable TV executive who has never served in elective office, defeated Democratic State Assemblyman David Weprin, 55, who has two decades of experience in public service, to fill the seat left vacant when Anthony Weiner (D) resigned in disgrace in June after more than 12 years in the House.

The defeat came as Republicans trounced Democrats in another special House election Tuesday, in northern Nevada, where Republican Mark Amodei led Democrat Kate Marshall, 56 percent to 39 percent almost from the start.

In both contests, the GOP pulled ahead by linking the Democratic candidate to Obama and his handling of the economy. Both Republican contenders urged voters to “send a message” to the president.

So, what are we to glean fron this? Jews in Brooklyn feel that Obama has left Israel out in the cold, and that it’s in real peril because of that. Too true.

My question: what about Obama was ever hidden from them that would have made them vote for him in the first place.

My advice: Turn right, stay right, and never, ever look back.

If O can’t win in Brooklyn, then who does he have? Berkley? I’d say Austin, but no…

Nah… this has NOTHING to do with Obama… yeah right.
Listening to the morning news shows, all the Libtard ones are spinning this as anything but a referendum on Obama.
To those who say the TEA Party is over… it’s just beginning.

The D’s can spin all they want. The simple fact is that another R won a traditionally D spot. Again. In a large enough win to be outside the margin of fraud.

The D’s are not the only ones who should be worried. Establishment R’s should be as well…after all, RINOs are nearly as bad as D’s and need to be replaced.

This vote is a “waterloo” for the ” Arab Spring” and this is an early warning message that they will need to act before 2012… O is one of their architects.

The time has come to let the Islamists know that this will not stand and we shall defend Israel at all costs. This was a good first step

Clearly he is banking on total chaos and collapse of capitalism so they his regime can remain in power in perpetuity. The left is about to become totally unhinged and unmanageable …like a defective Chinese roman candle.

Dem’s have redistricted this seat, Turner will only be there for one year and then the representation for these Jewish voters disappears.

This does tell me that Jewish folks finally understand that Obama is not their ally, and Democrats will not win without the Jewish vote! To my Jewish countrymen, I am a fiscal conservative Republican bordering on Tea Party principles and I personally will spill blood with you to defend Israel against her Islamic Muslim enemies, some things are more important than money and this is one of them.

AP story in Newsday claimed that this district was “Too Close to Call”.

Pulling the race card, the article continues:

“With a large population of Catholic and Orthodox Jewish residents, the 9th Congressional District is broadly blue collar and more conservative than many others in the city. It’s the kind of white, working class environment that Obama struggled within the 2008 campaign…”

Soooo, the same people in this District that voted overwhelming for Obama in 2008 ( and have sent Schumer and Weiner to Congress) are now against him? I wonder why? AP thinks they turned racist in two years!

Which is exactly why they have NO business in American politics…they want nannies, go to UK…go anywhere else…just go!!!

Now I’m not a big fan of spin, but I do have some common sense. A republican winning a seat in the senate means two of the following things.

    1. Good news for the Republicans.

    2. Bad news for the Democrats.

Anyone with an opposing view to my own are just fooling themselves. I’ve broken it down to the smallest, most simple truth. And in the end, you can’t fight truth. The truth is gonna whip your ass.

    xerocky,

Obama’s First Stimulus bill went mainly to pay off all the people who got him elected. He got over 600 Million in election money, and paid out almost 800 BILLION in Payback money. Also, all there businesses are now running TAX FREE thanks to Obama’s 2 Tax Cheats in the First and Second leadership roles of the IRS. Not bad for investing in an unknown constitutional non-professor who Graduated from Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard but doesn’t have One Scrap of Paper (Grades, Term Papers, Diploma’s or Otherwise) proving it, just the words of some people that know him (strangely no one who actually graduated with him or Taught him remember him being in ANY of the Classes or even being seen on Campus). That’s where the money part comes in to Obama and Out of our Taxes.
