White House Official Says DHS Doesn’t Need To Enforce Immigration Laws Because Illegally Invading Country No Worse Than Jaywalking…
Unbelievable.
Washington (CNSNews.com) — Cecilia Munoz, the White House director of intergovernmental affairs, compared the federal crime of being in the country illegally to jaywalking.
“If you were running the police department of any urban area in this country, you would spend more resources going after serious criminals than after jaywalkers. DHS (the Department of Homeland Security) is doing the immigration equivalent of the same thing,” Munoz told the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) conference on Monday.
Munoz was referring to the administration’s new policy of “prosecutorial discretion,” outlined in a June memo from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, which falls under DHS.
Under the new policy, immigration officials will prioritize deportation orders, acting only on those involving people convicted of serious crimes or those who pose a national security or public safety threat.
The memo also directs ICE agents to consider how long an individual has been in the U.S., whether that person has a spouse or children who are U.S. citizens, and whether that person has a serious criminal record. Crimes victims, witnesses to crimes, or people who are charged with minor traffic violations, would avoid deportation under the ICE guidance.
Munoz said the administration is acting within its authority — “but we also all understand that even as we use our administrative authority, make the right enforcement judgments, it is not the permanent solution for anybody, it doesn’t solve our immigration problems. In order to do that, we need the Congress of the United States.”

How about this. How about we give the run-of-the-mill illegals and those responsible for lesser crimes (say, stealing a pack of gum) the benefit of the doubt and deport THEM.
Then how about we take the illegals convicted of serious crimes, or who pose a national security risk, and EXECUTE them.
I think this is an elegant solution to the problem, don’t you? Those illegals who aren’t utter scum get to live, albeit back in their home countries, while the illegals who are nothing but trash get scrubbed from this mortal coil and never trouble anyone ever again. PLUS, since the repeated incursion of illegals across the border causes property damage and expends law enforcement resources, the summary execution of the most criminally negligent of those offenders would be both environmentally friendly AND a cost-savings bonanza.
Win win.
So do we citizens get to choose the laws we feel like obeying?
I wish it would be an automatic felony to be in this country illegally. What would this do? It would make it easier to kick them out. And if they became citizens, they would not be allowed to vote. It would destroy the Democrat party.
I have some sympathy for the kids of illegals, but not when they have more rights than non-illegal kids.

Exactly. That is what makes me so furious. The hard lives and good works that past generations of LEGAL immigrants have left as a legacy are being perverted by these waves of illegal leeches. Are there a few good ones in that tide? Sure, there’s a bright spot in every swamp. But you can’t refuse to stop the flood just because your garden could use the water.

Under the new ruling people like this murderer, people with no drivers license, no insurance, no criminal record will be allowed to stay in this country and run down more Americans in the future.
The cat is now out of the bag. The democrat party has now revealed exactly how they would like this illegality be watered down and have it considered a non-offence in the eyes of the law.
If they keep painting themselves into a corner with these outside the mainstream positions, the elections in NY-9 and NV-23 will be just the tip of the iceberg.
Let’s hope they keep it up. Soon they will have isolated and estranged the vast majority of their constituents and only be left with dog catcher election victories.

Not being an American when I read articles like this I feel the country has gone insane. I feel this administration from top to bottom hasn’t got a clue what a country is and how to run it. It seems that there is an insidious intent to deteriorate the country.

How’s this for an idea? Make entering this country illegally a felony. Make the fine $2500 plus one year in Federal prison. Make this the same on overstayed VISAs. If drugs are involved, triple the fine. Then, apply this to all the illegal aliens in this country now. Leave or if you get caught, the fine will apply them. The other thing is this birthright citizenship. We MUST know through Congress or the Supreme Court if indeed a child born to an illegal alien is a U.S. citizen. I say they are not. If not, then, how do we REVOKE the birth certificates already issued. Boy, can you see the problems with this illegal immigration? Maybe Congress should allow states to enforce immigration laws. When is enough going to be enough with these illegal aliens who just jaywalk into our country like it was their’s? Tell me!
as a suggestion: Move the capitol to one of the borders states.
This handles a great many things: lower property costs, so less to maintain. Free’s up valuble real estate up north..for the poor, and the children no less.
redistributes some income & jobs to a new area (an ideal they are deeply in love with..so support it!)
and finally it puts them in the line for what the rest of us deal with in the border area on a day to day basis.

There are two Hispanics (that I know of) in government that actually stand firmly against illegal immigration: Governor Susana Martinez (NM), who has been sparring with a Democrat-controlled state legislature against state-issued driver’s licenses to illegals and state representative Robert Rameriz (CO) that was the deciding vote to kill the Colorada Dream Act. There may be more. After voting thumbs down, Rameriz was bombarded with faxes, emails, and phone calls crucifying him for “not voting Mexican!”
Then you have U.S. congressman Luis Gutiérrez (IL), state representative Gil Cedillo (CA), and congressman Raul “boycott my state – please” Grijalva (AZ), that are pure-D unapologetic reconquistas.
Lacing the “Adminstration” with Hispanics like Cecila Munoz and Hilda Solis is like putting Adolf Hitler in charge of our nuclear arsenal. They can hum “Mexico forever!” all day long a get away with it. In their defense, singing harmony to the same tune were John McCain, the fat drunken sot Ted Kennedy, and George W. Filth. So now the ignorant masses and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will install Rick Perry in the oval office???
Don’t all these “civil servants” take an oath to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the US of A? Violate your oath and lose your job. It happens in the private sector if you violate the rules of your company/agency/business. Shouldn’t they be held to a higher standard?
I say everytime a law enforcement agent of any kind comes across an illegal, they are to be arrested and held for deportation, all belongings (other than clothes on the person) is to be seized and sold at public auction, this is to include, automobiles, homes, possesions, bank accounts, everything. They are deported with an order if they return they will be either imprisioned for at least 5 years.
All realitives and other household members are suspect as to harboring illegal invaders and are investigated, if found to also be in our country illegally they too are subject to the above, if they are legally here, then they are fined or jailed for haboring a criminal.
Any employeer that knowingly hires illegals looses their business licence for a minimum of 90 days and pays a fine of no less than $200.00/per day the illegal worked there, and a fine of minimum $5,000.00 for hiring illegals.
This should fix our illegal invader problem and go a long way to paying for the trashing of our immigration laws over the past 30 years by the Federal Government.

We have officially become “a nation of unenforced laws.” Were I President for a day, I would spend that 24-hours deporting every illegal alien in this country.
